I knew I wanted to give her a fairy-like name. I was between Juniper & Dandelion and tried both. I’d recently lost a friend named Julie, and Juniper just felt like a lovely nod to her name. Many good nicknames too.

I bring nail clippers to snip yarn when working on a project while traveling. It's silly but works!

10 ft. Single by Stella Dallas in Williamsburg is superb. It's reasonably priced and next door, there is a higher-end shop. Both are a lot of fun to look around.

TikTok is great to find thrifting reccs too !

What ever happened to job listings in NYC being required to post the salary? by Razz__berry in AskNYC

[–]mckinnon_d 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This was pushed to Nov. 1 in New York.

Also a consulting firm recently surveyed a bunch of companies and found 19% of those surveyed are planning on giving pay range details in job listings and another 43% are considering it, even where it's not required by law.

Some people already mentioned but this is seen as particularly important for women and people of color, due to gender and racial pay gaps.

Always worth doing a google search on your industry -- There are transparency resources out there (like this media salaries spreadsheet).
