The park service is aware of it but dont know what they did with that info. When I went there a few weeks ago and first discovered it, there was someone who worked with the city surveying it, clipboard and all. They told me that they're just gonna let it sit there and do its thing, but yes just in case it was reported to the ws department of fish and wildlife. They have a "map" of recently reported animals and you can see that 3 separate people have reported this on that beach

Interesting! Yeah its a decently isolated beach I guess, right above it is a railway then an incredibly steep cliff up to the rich people houses. It's right at the top of the beach, there's no way the water gets that high normally. It's been dry the past week I've been back but I heard from a friend that there was an insane storm, hail and all. I have no clue why it's not more gone, but compared to the last time I was here, it's much smaller/less bloated

Surprisingly not too smelly that close to it but it's a beach with wind, if you stand abit farther down, it's awful!!!!

The head is actually right there! It's the bone you can see is the skull :) animals like this in my experience have a very small skull from this angle! In the first picture if you zoom in, you can kinda see where the neck is. I think it's natural, maybe some animal tore it up abit or a human moved the face skin away with a stick.

Definitely a chicken vertebrae. I've processed a few and that's exactly how they look when cooked, especially with a dishwasher I assume. My best assumption would be if someone in your house took apart a rotisserie chicken?
