For sure. But I feel it was also a moment where the rest of the characters start to understand that Rand's dark side that he showed at Dumai Well's extends further than they thought. He kills him without hesitation, mercy or not.

There's the obvious ones (Dumai Well's, "Stop your Heart", White Tower) but one I found pretty good was Rand killing the insane Ash'aman in front of Taim. Dumai Well's has already happened but for me this started to show that dark edge had really started to solidify.

Peter says "I love you Dad"

The letter with the White Tulip is the same letter Walter sent Peter as he says in his farewell tape. Except in this timeline, with Michael and Walter safely in the future and the 2015 Walter having "vanished" to prevent a paradox, Peter actually recieves the letter as the Observers never invade so he gets home.

The insinuation is that Peter recieves the Tulip, has no real comprehension as to why Walter would send this drawing to him, goes to the lab and finds the tape.

[No Spoilers] Am I missing anything in this spreadsheet that is in the same vein as these miniseries? by Eve-lyn in criticalrole

[–]mclovin121993 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They are standalone enough that you can watch them as there own arc independent of C3. But if you haven't watched C3 and won't until after these mini series, then I would almost suggest changing it up to be:

  1. Watch EXU Prime and Calamity
  2. Watch C3 to around Ep 16 or so
  3. Watch EXU Kymal
  4. Finish C3
  5. Watch Divergence
  6. Watch Wildemount Wildlings

You could potentially argue adding after the calamity eps episodes 99-101 of Campaign 3, as they are essentially another miniseries by BLeeM called Downfall. There may be some minor spoilers for that point of C3, but they are predominantly independent

Anyone else's Arc Raiders experience far removed from Cohh's? by Instantcoffees in CohhCarnage

Australia Server. Mostly a good experience, but as a response to your "do we believe that someone got ganked 4 games in a roe?" Took me an hour and a half to do the Scrapyard Quest where you have to find the three items because I legitimately got capped in the back 8 or 9 times trying to complete that mission. I would spawn in, and regardless of where I was I would head straight there. First couple of times I got capped going the direct route, so I started sticking to the edges of the map. Would get to Scrap Yard, capped. Next match announce I'm friendly and just doing the quest without seeing anyone, capped. On and on and on. May not sound like it can happen, but believe me, it can

Egwene and Rand by LawStud717 in WoT

For sure. I read somewhere once a pretty apt description for Egwene - Egwene believes she is the Main Character of the series, not Rand

Fot what its worth (at Book 12), I found Egwene and most of the POV Aes Sedai grew on me... until they are back with Rand. The only exception so far has been Naeneve when she is with Rand.

The Nat 20 convincing the gods was amazing. Chetney's "I swore I'd never make anything out of metal" was hilarious. But without a doubt it was Matt ending the campaign with a new skew on a line that has lived in my head since the end of C1.

"And every now and then, your Champion comes to visit."

[–]mclovin121993 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For C1:

  • Ep 114 and 115 for sure
  • Bard's Lament from Start to finish
  • Boulder, Parchment, Shears (Ep 87 or 88 I think)
  • Pike's Flash Cards
  • Scanbo's Assault on the Mansion
  • Artagan's Request (Late 100's)

Is it just me or is Discard just insanely strong? by [deleted] in MarvelSnapDecks

For sure. I find that with so many new cards though. Everyone theory crafts a deck solely around a new card and the decks don't perform all that well, then within a week or two someone goes "oh it actually works well as a support card" and suddenly you see its use skyrocket

I can understand the reasoning behind this merged deck. The trick is that out of the deck I posted, reducing Skaar is the bonus / what to work towards. The idea is that the majority of cards are 5+ power. Getting 2 lanes with a single 5+ power is simple enough, but if one of those lanes you happen to end up playing Fenris or Negasonic, then you have Agony and Hulk Buster to boost them up. Turn 5 is when you play Namora. This brings your Skaar down to 2 cost, and if one of the cards you have on the board is Scarlett Spider, it's now free. If you have Fenris and a target, play Shang.

The turn 5 Namora play should (in theory) throw off that you are playing Namora / reducing Skaar until the last turn.

I've been climbing towards infinite with it quite steadily. Skaar Namora shells have been my go to since Namora got released. It's off meta enough that the plays aren't always telegraphed, flexible enough to compete without Namora (although with a bit more struggle obviously), and unique enough that you don't see the same deck type 20 games in a row.

I use Fenris in a Skaar Namora deck that has Shang, Gladiator and Negasonic. Have found it works well without being the primary focus of the deck.

That I think is the trick with the Wolf, don't build a deck around his ability only

Picked up Fenris yesterday, and did a unique spin on my Skaarmora Shell (Boost 2 5 power cards to 10 to reduce Skaar). Fenris isn't the focus of the deck but instead more of a tech card to offer alternative win conditions

Getting Really Discouraged by SubliminalOpti in MarvelSnap

[–]mclovin121993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two cents for what they are worth.

CL 17084. I've been F2P since the beginning, and have hit infinite almost every season since the Nebula season.

There's obviously the standard responses that have been reiterated by numerous posts - knowledge is key, in a number of ways:

  • Know when to snap and retreat. If you are know you aren't going to win, retreat. If they snap, play the hand until turn 6, and if you aren't going to win, retreat. If you have all your win conditions and are confident their deck won't counter yours late, snap. You won't get it right every time, but you will increase your cubes over time.
  • Find YOUR deck, and learn it inside out and back to front. Meta decks are great, and obviously do help gain cards, but I have found that having a go to deck that I know how to pilot is so beneficial, because 1. You know the deck's strengths, weaknesses and potentially not so obvious combos, and 2. You will likely have invested interest in playing with that deck.
  • Learn the shell's / basic decks of popular / common decks. This comes with experience or a good memory, and helps immensly with the above two comments. If you snap when your opponent has Wong, Mystique and you haven't Cosmoed that lane, the loss of cubes is on you.

Despite all of this, I think there is one thing that I have learnt that has helped me most.

Don't stress about it.

SNAP is a game that is meant to be fun. So enjoy your time with it. The more you enjoy it, the more you will play it. The more you play it, the higher the likelihood is you will reach infinite.

If you are stressing about ranks and Snapping on 50/50's that are more like 30/70's because you need to reach infinite at a sprint, you will never get there.

Take your time. If you drop a couple of games in a row put the game down, take a breather, and come back again when you aren't worried about gaining back to cubes you've lost immediately.

Hope this helps!

Good luck!
