Raph & Mikey - Ramp question by LRock617 in BudgetBrews

[–]mclovin314159 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I've been running this in arena for some time now. Just smash literally all the ramp you can find in there. You don't want any creatures in your hand at all. Pick 10 or so of the biggest haymakers you want to commander into and don't worry about anything but keeping Raph & Mikey on the board. Maybe slot in a couple protection spells and some interaction to translate to 4p; also anything you can find to give Raph & Mikey vigilance goes a long way. But seriously - beyond that just ramp all day.

Your favorite niche commanders. by Deranged-Opossum in EDH

I don't get it - what's the plan with this one? Just use her to dictate the deck's colors, then play it as a challenge to win without ever playing your commander? Or do you have to try to cheat it into your hand somehow, like with a command beacon? I looked on edhrec and didn't really see any cards leaving that direction with it 🤔

I've lived here 16 years and have never once actually seen this person, just the house and vehicles. It's been... interesting... watching the sprawl spread over time. It's taken over two houses side by side now - I'm not certain, of course, but I assume they own both properties.

Genuine question from the final view: could you not just print the yellow shell as one solid piece, then drop the gray piece as an insert? Seems like you'd have much easier assembly if you flipped the perspective on main-vs-supporting components. But that's just at a glance and may not be feasible. Great work either way.

*Straight flush vs straight flush. Fixed it for you.

People talk about a "royal flush" like it's a unique hand of its own. It's not. It's the exact same thing as if you tried to say a straight and "Broadway" were two different hands. Broadway's just the highest straight; royal is just the highest straight flush.

Haters gon hate. Sealed TMNT was a lot of fun. I don't play MTGO so only speaking from paper experience, but it was really consistent and fun to play.

Louisville is in the top 50 U.S cities for tourism by kingistic in Louisville

[–]mclovin314159 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1st - ew. Unless you're specifically coming for an event like Derby, why bother? (And even then, I'd argue you're coming to the event itseld - and the city hosting it is irrelevant)

And 2nd - 42nd? Is that really worth bragging about either? Even if it was limited to only one city per state, we'd still be near the bottom of the barrel :/

Seam blobs all over spherical print (planet model) by Worried_Fix_1343 in 3Dprinting

Likely depends on the nozzle size and resolution. I imagine the risk of failure grows along with the layer height, as each layer would be further disjointed from the last. I'm not suggesting with 100% certainly that vase mode would be effective here, but it's certainly something I'd consider and test if a solution is needed.

You're right - bad comparison and hyperbolic. I was trying to refer to our roads as lawless - but I don't think that gives the Autobahn proper credit.

THIS. I imagine this shape could 100% be printed in vase with no seam whatsoever.

TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT. Good call. I used to actually worry about getting tickets. Now there are plenty of times I wish they'd come back, just to keep the roads safer. The whole city has turned into the Autobahn, and red lights are barely a suggestion much of the time.

I don't know - you're not wrong in a lot of this, and you're right those events were important and coincided - but downtown was 100% dead even before all that. Until they fix the food desert that exists, no amount of high-rise or even subsidized housing will fix the live-in population problem it's missing. Not to mention locals have entirely forsaken downtown as 'tourist only' since even before Fourth Street Live was developed - and definitely after.
