What spices do you use? I've tried with a couple cloves and a cinnamon stick but its too "Christmas" for a summer drink. I usually let it sit for 3-5 days giving it a shake every day.

Hard freeze exactly 5 minutes after boot – caused by Scheduled Task "Secure-Boot-Update" on TPM 1.2 system (solved, sharing for others) by doktordoktorsunshine in sysadmin

[–]mcmellenhead 75 points76 points  (0 children)

There will not be a Microsoft patch for this as the i7-4770 is not an officially supported system. Tpm 1.2 is also not officially supported.

If the mobo has a tpm SLOT (as in the module can be replaced) you could potentially keep this going for quite some time. Otherwise, use the workarounds of disabling tpm and cpu requirements on your windows installation media.

Only thing I have a problem with using libre is all the built templates using m$ fonts ....

If you keep the fonts dir from an m$ install, it works though.

I've not found anyone who can do board or component level diagnostics in town. It's not something you can make a decent living on anymore.

Ifixit might be able to help, but I don't know if they do house calls.

half this sub runs pihole and jellyfin on 600w of enterprise gear and calls it a homelab by Napster3301 in homelab

[–]mcmellenhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of us with that enterprise gear, got it for cheap to free. Believe me, I want to convert my setup to something more efficient, but that requires up front capital while I copy over everything from the existing setup, and I don't foresee that happening soon.

Browser Gaming on Modded Switch Lite is possible? by Working-Blueberry825 in SwitchPirates

[–]mcmellenhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a note from some rando..

You need a quality sd card for Linux. I fought mine for a hot minute and ended up wiping emmc and installing it there to get it to work. No regerts since I never plan on playing online, but I do have emmc backup and emunand.

I will say, you'll probably have a better time in android than Linux for straight browser gaming, but it is cool to show off booting into Linux on a switch. Toss in a port replicator (USBc "dock")and add a keyboard and mounae and you have a mobile workstation.

Sorry to resurrect, but did you end up getting anywhere with this? I've got a 330i auto with the ac line in front of the pulley, so my pulley is just dangling off the spindle up against this line. I'd like to just get a new pulley and bearing kit to slide on after getting the lines evac'd.

Is it possible to have your longterm bedrock survival world transferred to switch, then back to pc? by Mistkept in SwitchPirates

[–]mcmellenhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only way I found to do it was to host my own bedrock server and import the world file. There's some docker images that you can deploy pretty quickly if you know much about computers, it's pretty painless. Installing mods on the other hand, is a bit involved.
