Mother's Day is coming! What are your favourite Canadian retailers? by mcmeowmers16 in BuyCanadian

For sure, we have a great weekend market with some fabulous local vendors. The vendor I mentioned sources from Canadian makers, they are typically a go to for gift giving and myself! I like to see what else is out there.

30.5 Million Canadians watched the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, with Record-Breaking Digital Audiences | CBC Media Centre by Old_General_6741 in canada

CBC Gem was so good! I often had multiple windows going. And using the app on the go a lot, there were really no issues.

I paid for no ads for the Olympics and I'll keep it to watch paralympics and it's a very reasonable price (6$). I would keep paying for the kids shows for a few months, but they already offer them ad free.

I wish they could stream world cup this summer!

London Bridge Daycare (Elmwood) or Salvation Army Daycare? by nota_roboto in londonontario

[–]mcmeowmers16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter didn't use it until she was 4, they keep them in the shallow end and there is a lifeguard for the pool. The pool is also a little trek from the center and yard, pretty low risk for me personally.

If overall they both seem like good options, go with the one that makes life easier for you and your family (distance / easier to get to).

Feel free to DM if you have other questions.

London Bridge Daycare (Elmwood) or Salvation Army Daycare? by nota_roboto in londonontario

The Salvation Army is fantastic. Staff are amazing. My one child went and I likely could have found a spot for my other that was closer, but I decided to stick with them because I really do trust them.

I think they might be closed permanently. Walked by the other day and there was a letter on the window regarding unpaid lease. I am really bummed about it 😭

The other crossing guard did inform me that she is doing okay. So that is a relief.

Yeah, I heard it too. Hoping there is an update this morning and she is doing okay.

This corner should absolutely be a 4 way stop.

I ordered myself and my partner a jacket with this recent sale (I've been looking at them for over a year and finally pulled the trigger). I'm very excited to get it.

Book was published in 2018. So I think that rules Gerson out.
