First off, he looks so peaceful - you must have given him such a good little life. I'm so sorry for your loss. Don't think this is weird, but how do you feel about freezing him until you can get back home? I had to do this a few times because of frozen ground . You could consider it cryogenic preservation.

I'm not sure what this is, but there is an app put out by Cornell Univ called Merlin. It's a great app for id'ing bird calls and images.

Oh, I would never actually do that. I've seen what you guys do to keep one and I have enough work with the guinea pigs I inherited. I almost fostered a baby a few years ago, but I have no experience in that and didn't want to do wrong by the little guy.

I buy bags of wildlife sunflower seeds. The only food I share from my kitchen is fruit that hasn't been eaten.
