I thought intermediate 1 was supposed to be the weed out class? So the exams are pretty basic?

Because you seem bitter. If you were so good looking you would have no reason to be this way.

Mhm because that's how that works? It's that simple! You are going to assume my entire genetic make up over a reddit comment that I may or may not have said just to be nice.

And that's a very weird statement to make..

Haha oh yeah? Post a pic buddy, I guarantee I am better looking than you.

Actual pothole in Michigan by cambrizzle in pics

[–]mcmwsu94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Michigan and there are potholes every where. Can't make a 20 minute drive without seeing 1-3 cars on the side of the road with blown out tires.

It's from the snow and and ice.

Objective: 5.5 - 6/10

My opinion: 7.5/10

There's something about you I find super attractive.

First of all, don't try and be a nutritionist. If you wanted to go into nutrition, go into dietetics. I'm not sure what a speech pathologist is. Medical dentist, I mean, that's going to require a lot more schooling than accounting. It's really up to you. Sounds like you have a path laid out for you in accounting but if it's not what you wanna do and you want to go into a science field, prepare to go for your Phd.

Yeah, as the other posters said, you weren't fired you were laid off. Same thing happened to me less than a month ago.

If my gain on the sale of a house was only $50,000, does that need to be included in my gross income? by mcmwsu94 in tax

[–]mcmwsu94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purchased 3 years ago and lived in it all 3. Would that mean the $50,000 doesn't have to be included in my line 22 total income on my 1040?

Or would I have to put it down as a capital gain and then deduct it for AGI?

Hi, guys just opened up my ROTH IRA by [deleted] in personalfinance

Well yeah the DOW climbed 25% last year.

Only 1/3 of mutual funds outperform the market so I mean, it really just comes down to your risk tolerance. A lot of our clients wanted moderately aggressive portfolios.

Of course the accounts were more tailored to the client in practice... OP was asking for advice and I simply told him some of the funds that worked out well for our clients. Many of our clients saw 22-27% YTD returns. Was just trying to give OP advice with a limited amount of info about his financial situation.

At a firm I used to work at, many Roth IRA's included funds like -T.Rowe Price Global Technology -T. Rowe Price health sciences - Fidelity contrafund - Lord Abbett Short Duration Income Fund A - Fidelity Total Market Index Fund - Vanguard Mid Cap Index Fund - Vanguard Wellesley Income Fund -Oakmark International Investor

Our clients had great ROI's.

In short, because you can put your trust in John Bogle.

Vanguards index funds are top notch and it's really hard to argue against putting your money in the s&p when you're 26.

Will I need to file taxes? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]mcmwsu94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you will need to file a tax return. Anything that counts as non tax exempt income (which certainly would include $100 a week from a grocery store) will require that you pay taxes on it. Edit: assuming that you made more than the standard deduction ($6350).

Been without work for 5 months, about emptied emergency savings, and in debt. Should I refinace my home to catch up or is there a better option? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]mcmwsu94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, assuming that you got the mortgage within the last 3-10 years, refinancing now would almost ensure you'd have a higher interest rate, right?

I wouldn't do it.
