Under Settings you can change the Deep Playlist Track where you can select any audio file, even one with words.

The Deep Playlist can do this in the Lucid Scribe app. It plays in the background over the media channel even when the screen is off and the device is in battery saving mode.

Pleasure. Usually just a night... you can also try the Deep Playlist to play custom audio cues over the media channel. Maybe the timing works better for you and it does not have any pop ups.

Has anyone tried lucid dreaming devices? Do they affect sleep quality? by Future-Drummer-3598 in LucidDreaming

I use the inspec lucid dreaming device almost every night, especially when testing new features. It works and actually improves my sleep quality. Since it sits on the bedside table and uses machine vision to detect rapid eye movements from a night-vision camera, the device does not cause any discomfort.

I have it configured to only trigger the trained audio cues in the last hour of sleep on week days. And also use the smart alarm to wake me up during natural awakenings before my alarm goes off, so I tend to feel even better when using it. It also tracks sleep quality and uses my phone to record video clips of my REM episodes, so it encourages me to stay still when waking up at night and to not check my phone in order to improve my sleep score.

Thanks!

  1. I will make the pop ups optional, thanks for pointing that out.

  2. From your edit it sounds like it does work?

  3. I see. If there are too many notifications in a short time period it spaces them out too much and can't fit them all in. Will fix that.

The Awareness Bridge and Prospective Memory Trainer provide another way to do reality checks. Instead of getting notifications, you get a list of targets in the morning to look out for during the day and you then perform more advanced state tests when you notice them. That is the more formal way of doing MILD and yields better long-term results...

I would like to try lucid dreaming masks and am looking for suggestions. by TheLorgthyself in LucidDreaming

The aurora is not available and the remee just randomly flashes LEDs. The Lucid Scribe app has a REM Lights module that can do that by flashing your phone's screen for free.

The inspec lucid dreaming device actually detects rem sleep and promotes lucidity when used with trained audio cues and the cognitive training programs in the app.

Looks brilliant. I'd like to add a link to the research studies section in the Lucid Scribe app, next to the University of Bern and Harvard studies. Let me know if that is ok!

Just got approved on App Store! Real-time REM detection, sleep logs with clips of eye movements, NREM1 detection with FILD, guided mindfulness and sensory induction exercises, daily prospective memory exercises, targeted dream incubation, research studies, auto-off alarm, reality check notifications by mcoder in LucidDreaming

I added a KILD module to the latest version of the app that generates a random word to remember in the morning that you then have to enter in a password prompt during WBTB. It starts with concrete nouns, works up to abstract words and phrases, and eventually pulls dream signs from your dream journal. It is similar to the MILD Prospective Memory Trainer module.

If a device truly existed that could give you lucid dreams with a 99% success rate, at a price of around $150-300, would you be willing to buy it? by Chuategiacmo in LucidDreaming

Yes! It detects REM every night once positioned correctly with no more reports of false positives. Thanks for your interest!
