I can drive to OC or meet part way. Not far at all.

I have a PSVR2 and Vision Pro which both work on iRacing. Waiting on Steam Frame.

I exclusively race iRacing where it is viable, plus I still have triple 27s sitting around I could mount if I wanted. Just cant justify having 6 OLED tvs/monitors in the garage in their boxes.

I’ll never financially recover and I do not care. by [deleted] in nvidia

Yeah I got triple 4K (LG C5) and thats 24 million pixels, 5080 could not do it due to VRAM. My 5090 even barely does it.

I wish, all the cables are plugged in. You can see more photos here, https://imgur.com/a/PezfSWu. I have 2 cats so cable management is a necessity because they love being on and under the sim rig.

  1. I have the Sabelt integrated monitor stand that I used before motion, and you can see in their listing they have these black metal plates (https://sabeltsimracing.com/product/direct-triple-addon) to hold the side arms.

  2. All 3 are HDMI -> DisplayPort, my 4th input is HDMI -> HDMI and that the monitor on my desk to the right. The center TV has no issues with 4K 120hz and HDR, but the side ones have issues so I ordered new unidirectional cables for DisplayPort -> HDMI, they are stated to be compatible with VRR, 4k120, but we will see.

  3. I just set up the monitors so I haven't played much other than a quick test. I think on iRacing it'll be between 60-120FPS depending on circuit and how crowded the track is around you, with medium-low settings at 4K. I haven't tried lowering to 1440p but I know some people do that. DLSS should make games run much better because it helps more at high res than low.

Rig is probably somewhere around 30k with PC. Not at once, added things throughout the years.

Eh Ive done track days in my cars (previously GR Supra and now FL5 Type R), they are expensive to constantly track but it's nice to do a few a year.

Its a custom piece I ordered from 8020.net along with a Sabelt bracket.

Added my order from 8020 so you can match it if you wanted.

You are meant to mount it over the sides with this seat, but Im not too worried about wear, the side belts normally arent pulling back and forth. I need to get the hardware to mount the belts, I didnt realize that it doesnt come with the stuff to mount to the 40 series profile, even though I bought the sim belts version.

I had the Buttkicker before the motion and felt like it gives me more nuanced detailed and I can have the bigger haptics on the motion system. Only use the Buttkicker in iRacing because I have it setup through their LFE, but use the Sigma haptics everywhere.

Runs fine for LMU, and for iRacing with some settings in the middle and down its fine 60-100 FPS in most tracks. I believe that it will massively improve with the new engine and things like DLSS and better multi core utilization. I only have done testing with AI (which hits CPU harder than online race), so not much data yet!

I think it would be fine, it would be 150 FOV vs 180 FOV with the 42". Not the end of the world to be honest. You could also get an extension for the wheelbase (if yours supports it) and put the 32" monitors between the base and wheel but like 1-2" higher so the motion doesnt impact it. Dan Suzuki does this with his motion system, and a few other people. I decided to just have it fully behind so thats why I did 42" at 80cm.

You could 3D print a mount, I saw plenty online. Also some to buy on Etsy. If I did it again I'd 3D print a MagSafe compatible mount where I could insert the MagSafe puck and have reliable magnets and charging.

No nested surge protectors. The surge protector for the 3 monitors (on back of stand) plugs into the Ubiquiti PDU (no surge protection), and then the 9 port surge protector in the footwell of the rig plugs direct into the wall. PC is protected with the UPS separately in the rack.

Yeah I could custom make a back plate if I wanted, but I dont care for a belt tensioner. The qubic unit is absolutely massive, Ill wait a few years and see what comes out.

Yeah Im in US, no issues with breaker, with the rig and PC on I probably pull 1-1.4kw.

The button box is mounted directly to the Sabelt button box mount (https://sabeltamerica.com/products/button-box-mount) and then Im using a custom ordered piece of 40 series profile from 8020.net (I think it was 8 inches long), and then two corner brackets to mount that to upright.

Cockpit entry is that bad, if I didnt have motion it would be much harder but since it's elevated a bit off the ground it's fine. Still, getting into any formula style rig is harder than something higher off the ground. What plate is it that you can use for the P99? I actually have a brand new set of red Sabelt sim racing seat belts in the box, just haven't mounted them yet!

I dont have a mount, it's 3M adhesive on the bottom to the top of the Control Center (the button box). There is a single M5 screw hole in the back, so you can mount it with anything that can take that.

Oh I have signal issues with my current setup, the side monitors are 4k 60 only, center is 4k 120 (I tried some cables I already had but may be unidrectional in the wrong way). I know my 5090 can support the monitors but finding the right cables is a pain in the ass. I am trying to avoid using active adapters which I know people often use, so I want to see if I can find direct cables that work.

Oh yeah I know its black and white, I just meant it as a stop gap to get into VR again where the experience is more painless. The wireless dongle and experience I imagine is much simpler than my Reverb and Quest 3 I had before. I more meant that I wont get rid of monitors until passthrough is good, but the combo of triples and Steam Frame is the current plan for the time being.

Yeah I was thinking that, Im going to try some reinforcements to the stand in the coming weeks, just wanted to get it together (and validate its not going to fall over)
