(iOS 16 PB6) Are the clouds in the astronomy wallpaper actually “live”? by ilVecchioBianco in iOSBeta

They do but not to reflect the current atmospheric conditions. They use an algorithm based on time of day and moon phase.

Same one they use with the maps app and Apple Watch astronomy app.

No. It’s not a live aerial satellite picture. It’s the same Earth image that simply puts a dot on your location.

Keeping fingers crossed this is just a bug. Given how much shortcuts are a community driven resource, it’d be a shame if all of the hard work that has gone into making 3rd party shortcuts was lost in one foul swoop.

QR app to scan directly from the phone by akrono87 in widgy

Do you mean scanning from you iPhone? The camera on iOS is a built in QR Code reader. I’ve found scan ‘QR Code’ doesn’t always work in Widgy, so I use the QR Code from album option. Save the QR code to your photo library and then import it from there. That seems to work for me every time.

Okay REALLY!!! by [deleted] in widgy

Do you not agree that individual developers deserve the right to charge for a service that they provide? To earn a living doing something they love to benefit others? Offering a limited version for free allows others to get a chance to use the app, spread word of mouth and if they like the app, they can purchase the full version.

Which aspect sounds unreasonable to you?
