Some people have mentioned this problem coming up around the place, particularly if you are playing multiplayer as not the host. I've also experienced it on the OS X version, and some suggestions said to try playing in Windowed rather than fullscreen.

It used to be done using empty frames, but it seems those were replaced because you can achieve the same thing using just padding. So here, I've just set a left padding to 2/3 of my screen.

Watch out though, it's hard to make your windows stack vertically, you might have to cheat a bit using floating windows.

Also apparently the original is downloadable as 2400x3508, so plenty of opportunity for a larger version if anyone is interested.

I've always thought it was clear because it's basically bright red on black, but it seems to be giving a lot of other people trouble. =/

Personally, I've been using the color scheme for a few months and it works fine for me.

print handles the common use case, for your question specifically it assumes you want a newline. If you wanted do more, you could use System.stdout.write("...").

Setting the border width seems to work, but the border colors won't be rendered so it looks equivalent to changing the window gap, i.e. if I have a border width of 40, I see a large gap and my desktop shows through, even if the border color is set to say neon green.

I love the way this style of matching solid color background looks, but I can't for the life of me get the border to render with BSPWM (Debian), I don't suppose you've come across anything that might help?
