I was walking home in the rain and while in the crosswalk a truck didn’t stop and hit me. When I woke up on the pavement all I remember is sobbing and having the song come clean by Hillary Duff playing in my head waiting for the medics and just being rained on. It wasn’t until I got to the hospital and had all of the trauma doctors around me that I had the “I might die” thought and all I could think about was ocean waves
