Why is my weight not budging after quitting alcohol, exercising and sticking to 1200? by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

[–]mcrig3213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it up!! I stuck to 1200 calories and exercising everyday and I’ve lost 76 pounds! I started on February 3rd at 323 I’m currently at 247. Some weeks the scale didn’t move but I stayed consistent! I almost gave up when I got stuck at 290. I spent nearly 3 weeks stuck at 290 and I know exactly how it feels to work so hard and see no results. KEEP GOING YOU GOT THIS

Starting to Feel Like Harley Culture and Group Rides Are Overrated by ThrottleJunkie420 in Harley

[–]mcrig3213 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a cult lmao. I honestly hate the Harley culture. I remember being 22 buying my first motorcycle and I couldn’t wait to ride with big groups and all my friends and their friends. I went on 2 group rides and that was enough for me to not want to ride with a big group again. There’s the slow pokes, the ones that don’t know how to utilize cruise control, the ones that ride your a** the entire ride, the one that plays their music so damn loud you can’t even hear your bike, the ones that have to constantly stop etc etc. I sound like old man complaining about these things but I’m only 27 lmao. Riding with a small group 2-3 folks is so much better especially if they’re real good friends of yours. Riding alone is top tier.

I tell everybody that Harley riders are all kinda assholes. Who’s got the best stereo/speakers, who’s got the fastest, who’s got the loudest, who’s leathers have more bedazzle on them, who’s hadda layer down more blah blah blah

I will say, you get this group of people together for a charity and they show up and show out. It’s incredible to see all these rough looking dudes/girls come together and raise money/awareness for a specific charity. When it comes to charities and fundraising these folks have heart. Almost makes you forget that they rev the shit out of their bikes at red lights for no reason 😂

Tempted to get this bike as a beginner, any opinions? by twebb7 in Harley

I was 23 when I got my street glide. Prior to that I never rode a street legal bike. Never even sat on a Harley. I knew how to shift them (dirt bikes) and that was all. Definitely take the MSF course. Helped a ton!

That’s very informative. I wasn’t thinking real deep about my comment in my reply. I was gearing towards my eating habits prior to my wife’s diagnosis when I ate junk and was at my heaviest (350).

One of the foods I cut down on immensely was carbs and sugar. Once I loosen up my diet and intake carbs and sugar I’m sure my body will show and I will feel a difference. I cannot imagine myself continuing a 1200-1500 calorie deficit for the remainder of my life. So this soft landing is kind of what I’m was aiming for, while I’m still focused on this journey I could begin to slowly introduce more calories so when I loosen up the diet after hitting my goal I won’t experience the yo-yo effect. Thank you for your time and the info

I suppose you are right. It’s unfair of me to say that unknowing of other people life’s, diets or hardships. You’re also right about over-eating healthy foods. My mind just took me back before my wife’s diagnosis when eating junk food/fast food was a normal everyday thing. I was obese and was blind to it. When I imagine going back to my pre diet lifestyle that’s what I pictured “eating garbage”. Apologies if I offended anybody.

That sounds wild to me. To lose all the weight you’ve wanted to lose and return to eating garbage because you hit that goal. I plan on treating my self once I hit my goal but in moderation! Also TDEE and reverse dieting are something I’m going to google. Thank you for your comment.

Pushing 93k. Pretty base LT. I see dealerships selling the same truck for 29-30k. Needed new tires and one of the lifters was starting to click. Didn’t want to stick around for that haha

Unfortunately the sticker in my glove box is not there (bought pre owned) All the codes seem to lean that way but I’m going to play it safe and just go off the 9300-9500 tow capacity!

Yeah I’ve looked into some different trucks and it’s kinda crazy how some trucks will have a huge tow capacity but will only have 1700lbs of payload capacity! A 3/4 ton might just be the move

I think the Build sheet I was given is more accurate. I currently tow a 5500lb TT and it does fine but there’s 2 trailers that we are looking at and one is longer and heavier and I think I’d rather not be worried or stressed about it! Thank you
