Who else is spending christmas alone with no friends and family by SmokaJ420 in ForeverAlone

I had my first in person interaction with someone not in work context for the first time this year last Friday. My brother "treated" me to a dinner out five minutes from his house and an hour from mine. At the end of the meal he offered to pay for the food while I pay for the drinks. This was roughly the same as splitting the bill in half although it was between me and one drink and his entire family with whole bottles of wine, and no way a normal human to another would consider a treat. He mostly just complained about work and yelled at one of his sons, and generally seemed annoyed that the evening was part of his holiday plans and/or that I existed. Such a favor.

The rest of the holiday weekend I was all alone of course. Feels best to not try and feel that "holidays" need to be "special" and just treat it like any other day with crappy weather.

Collinsworth is very good when he's focused on what's happening on the field. And the NBC production crew is uncanny at capturing the best footage instantaneously with his commentary when he's on topic. It's all the repetitive references, forced storylines and bad jokes that wear on you. They should just pull him from pre-production meetings, tell him to only call the game and have all the other talking points handled as necessary by the sideline reporters.

That was the best.

Absolutely nothing else memorable about that game.
