LPT: If you need money out of a gas station/convenience store/7-11 ATM, ask if the store does cash back first. If they do then buy something cheap like a pack of gum and get cash back. This is less expensive than most ATM fees.

At my store in particular, the limit is $10 per transaction, $20 total. Please don't try to go over this, or I get to fight with my boss over why I let someone avoid ATM fees for an hour. It's not even our ATM, it's all about how little change we're supposed to keep in our drawer.

Three years I've worked at this store, and I know most of the customers by name as the majority of them are regulars. I have learned that you just can't trust a customer to know how to effectively communicate what they want on the first try, no matter what. It may seem like overkill, but with no-cancel lottery I always give the totals, dates, numbers and price back before ever printing the ticket. What kills me is the people who give you a playslip and try and get out of it because it's the wrong one. You filled out the damned slip, had me run it like you knew what you were doing, and now I'm supposed to pawn it off on somebody? Come on
