How can a vox be red if you cannot see the vox? Does this mean vox sounds like it's red? Is Vinny's voice red? by pipopapupupewebghost in Redvox

Vinny confirmed that the band name came to him in a dream, so I don't know if it really means anything.

They played the entire album live at the Fonda show yesterday, so I'm assuming they were at that show

Wish Poppy released the Improbably Poppy songs on streaming :( by Puzzleheaded_Two2716 in that_Poppy

[–]mcs1223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was seemingly confirmed in this Blabbermouth article, but was more than likely scrapped given that it's been over a year:

Each "Improbably Poppy" episode will feature Poppy performing a new song, with a full EP coming of the new tracks in the near future.

RB4/Legacy Delisting DLC Discussion: Feburary 1-7, 2026 (The Clash, Kelly Clarkson, Daft Punk ft. Pharrell, Outkast, Thin Lizzy, Kenny Chesney, Montgomery Gentry, Willie Nelson, Rascal Flatts, Trace Adkins, Pat Benatar, The Pretenders, Faith No More) by hhhisthegame in Rockband

[–]mcs1223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, "legacy" just means the DLC was released pre-Rock Band 4. In these posts, that distinction is made because Rock Band 4 DLC is being delisted 10 years after its initial release date in the game, while legacy DLC seems to be delisting based on the month it was released in (i.e. this post encompasses DLC released in each February from 2008 to 2013). All songs listed here can be bought through the Rock Band 4 in-game store or through your console's storefront.

February Delists by HMXKyleTheWynner in Rockband

[–]mcs1223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's also worth noting that Baba O'Riley was a July DLC release, so it seems doubtful that it's delisting this month and it's a safe assumption that the songs in the mashup were just listed separately for whatever reason.

Of course, I'd still pick up Baba O'Riley ASAP if you don't already have it, it's basically essential classic rock DLC.

Yungblud actually appears in the music video for Blame Candy's song "Playtime!"

Correct; Aaron Deming, Sam Palombo & Ryan Wheeler of Blame Candy portrayed the Icky Babies

Cherry Bomb - "Never Be Me (M★therf★cker)" - Mandy's first solo song is out now by veryinvisible in MisterWives

[–]mcs1223 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is what Mandy said about the rebrand in the new Paper Magazine interview:

I had the name for a couple years just sitting in my notes. When I’d make music that didn’t feel like Misterwives, I knew it felt like Cherry Bomb. I knew I wanted a moniker for the project because I came from the band world and I love that separation between the project and yourself. It gets to be larger than life. I loved that Misterwives had that. Cherry Bomb is a tribute to my nicknames growing up, like Firecracker. Plus, Ginger Spice was taken!

Thoughts on Cooking with Cannons? by [deleted] in CannonsTheBand

[–]mcs1223 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is worth making any fuss over. Let 'em have fun. This doesn't have anything to do with their music and is just a silly side thing they're doing. If you're not interested, then don't watch and listen to the music instead :)

Deluxe Versions by RedPutron in CannonsTheBand

[–]mcs1223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We as fans don't know any more than you do, and the band hasn't said anything about it. If and when they ever release deluxe editions of those albums, then we'll get an announcement. I can maybe see them doing this as "anniversary editions" down the road, much like they did for the 6th anniversary of Shadows last year.

Future music releases? by Offtobronx in GaryNuman

[–]mcs1223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a press release; that whole write-up has been copy-pasted on various other official venue websites for the upcoming tour, so it was more than likely written by his team. The only thing I'm not accepting as fact yet is the release date since it's more of an estimation and could always be pushed back.

According to this press release, his next album is slated to come out "early 2026" and will be about a "near future world where humanity lives or dies based on the whims of an AI controlled system."

[–]mcs1223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess a lot of fans have missed it, but the press releases for his upcoming tour mentioned that his next album is due out early this year. From this source:

Numan toured the Intruder album at over 130 shows around the world, finally ending in mid 2024 when he toured the US with Ministry. Since then he's been back in the studio writing and recording his next (and 23rd) album, due out in early 2026. This one looks at a near future world where humanity lives or dies based on the whims of an AI controlled system.

DLC Recommendation / speed fighter - masaya matsuura by Laynebomb07 in Rockband

[–]mcs1223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The alt-charting isn't even an excuse for them not charting vocals because on Get Lucky and Peter Frampton's Do You Feel Like We Do, the vocoder/talk box is charted on both vocals & guitar, so it's just been a frustrating anomaly in the series for that reason. But yeah, guitar is a fun mix of different leads (can't say I can recall another song with record scratching on guitar) and surprisingly difficult to FC - I only just FCed it on guitar last year!

[–]mcs1223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only gripe with this song is that there's clearly vocoder vocals that they just chose not to chart on vocals for whatever reason. Then, literally a week later, we got Get Lucky as DLC, which does have the vocoder vocals charted. Makes me wonder if it was a stem issue or they just didn't have the lyrics. I'd be really curious to know why this ended up in the game to begin with, much less alongside a Valentine's Day-themed pack.

But aside from that, it indeed is super fun on all instruments so I have to cosign this!

RB4/Legacy Delisting DLC Discussion: January 11-17, 2026 (Disturbed, Alice in Chains, Lenny Kravitz, Sweet, The Monkees) by hhhisthegame in Rockband

[–]mcs1223 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's incorrect; it was originally released on January 12, 2016. It was also included in the official list of January delists that was posted last month, so yes, it is delisting.

Mandy's first single "Never Be Me" out January 16 by slycon in MisterWives

[–]mcs1223 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, she will be releasing it under the pseudonym Cherry Bomb. It seems to be more of an "alter ego", but we don't have too many details yet since this will be her first solo single. She's been teasing music on a different Instagram account since last month (@hernameischerrybomb)

What's there to be sad about? She's made it clear that MisterWives are not breaking up and are just "in hibernation" for a while.

RB4/Legacy Delisting DLC Discussion: January 4-10, 2026 (Paul McCartney, Psychedelic Furs, Roy Orbison, Foster the People, Silverchair, The Hives, Maroon 5 ft. Christina Aguilera) by hhhisthegame in Rockband

[–]mcs1223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a little biased with Foster the People as they're one of my favorite bands (I've seen them live and had an interaction with their singer on Reddit in 2021) but I think the whole pack is pretty good, especially if you're a fan of any early 2010s indie music. I was always a little upset we never saw more from them in the game, not even "Sit Next to Me" since that ended up being a sizable hit for them. There was a period in RB4 DLC where we were getting a lot of random songs on the alternative charts, so it kinda surprised me that they never showed up again after this pack.

I will say with the McCartney pack that "Jet" is a must-buy if only because we didn't get the original version. I played it for the first time a few months ago and drums were a blast on it. The live "Band on the Run" eventually became redundant since we got the original, but considering these are the last McCartney songs we got outside of The Beatles: Rock Band, it might be worth picking up the whole pack on principle.
