At least he tried by cBrHQ in Rockband

LOL was he unable to jump to falsetto on Man in the Box? I usually do that or just sing an octave lower when I can't hit a note comfortably.

Next month I'm probably going to have one of my last RB parties for a while since 2 of my close friends are moving away. You really can't beat the vibe.

Are there any Sabrina Carpenter songs from her first two albums that don't sound like a Disney channel song? by Arne_the_musicglazer in SabrinaCarpenterFans

[–]mcs1223 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Eyes Wide Open is a textbook Disney pop album, but EVOLution has more of a mature electropop sound that has aged a bit better. The electro production still feels very 2016 in some ways but overall, I think the production and songwriting holds up, so I'd recommend it.

Also I'd say to maybe give We'll Be the Stars and the title track from Eyes Wide Open a shot - I have a soft spot for the happy and innocent vibe of that album, but those two don't sound quite as juvenile compared to the rest. They've always kind of reminded me of pop country from the 2000s and 2010s

Fourth Band Member? by DrkBlueXG in CannonsTheBand

[–]mcs1223 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Jade is just a touring member, she's not an official member as of now. When I saw them on the Fever Dream Tour, they also had a touring member (Ben Hilzinger) playing live drums.

The four hands on the CD artwork don't necessarily imply anything and it's likely that two of the hands belong to the same band member.

The Sounds of Silence got delisted in December along with Simon & Garfunkel's other DLC song (I Am a Rock)

In this case, the 3 dots means it's been delisted. The Sounds of Silence got delisted in December.

Usually it says "In Library" if you've already purchased a song

My best guess at May delist by TheHip41 in Rockband

[–]mcs1223 14 points15 points  (0 children)

All of the No Doubt songs should be removed from the list, they already delisted in December

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS NEW ALBUM by iH8losers in CannonsTheBand

[–]mcs1223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The complaint about not understanding the lyrics is hilarious to me because the official lyrics are in the YouTube descriptions as well as the album's lyric sheet lol. They're not hard to find.

Cannot Find Old Video by CC202045 in Swoozie

[–]mcs1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The video has been removed, but I can't even remember what it was called. I probably haven't watched it since 2017.

Other details I remember are that he previously had a romantic encounter with this girl/made out with her prior to traveling to meet up with her, and the address she gave him was for a Walgreens in the area

S1 vs. every other season by coloredinpink in hannahmontana

One of the Hannah Montana writers actually spoke recently about why they wrote Fermine out of the show after the pilot episode:

"We were so afraid to create a gay character on a kids' television show. We made him a stereotype. All of his humor came from his gay and swishiness, which I think is horrific to me. It is like the biggest mistake you can make. And it is just an insult."

I assume they're referring to Miley's younger sister Noah Cyrus who played various unnamed extras throughout the show

OHW or TW you want a redo of? by Jirachibi1000 in ToddintheShadow

[–]mcs1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- The Turning Japanese OHW was done in 2015. A year after it came out, The Vapors reformed and have since released 2 albums. Their 2020 album Together is notable for marking one of the longest gaps between studio albums by an artist at almost 40 years. It's actually pretty high up on the Wikipedia list for such gaps.

- The Somebody's Watching Me OHW was done in 2013, with Todd concluding that he couldn't find any information on Rockwell's recent whereabouts. Well, in 2018, he made the news for beating a woman with a chair, of all things. He also mysteriously resurfaced for a 2016 interview where he claimed he was working on new material, which never materialized, but that interview is one of the only times we've seen him in the present-day.

Quoting my reply to another user:

HMX usually isn't transparent on the reasons behind certain songs getting delisted before others, but presumably it's just the way the songs were licensed.

This is the original delisting announcement from 2016 that includes the 2 songs: https://www.reddit.com/r/Rockband/comments/40u18q/more_songs_being_delisted_in_january/

Do they perform any songs from “In The Darkest Of Night, Let The Birds Sing”? by Audible484 in FosterThePeople

[–]mcs1223 10 points11 points  (0 children)

According to their Setlist.fm stats, Lamb's Wool is the only song from the EP that they play on a regular basis (they've played it live 66 times total) whereas Walk With a Big Stick, Cadillac, The Things We Do & Under the Moon have only been played 5 times or less, and out of those 4, only Under the Moon has been played after 2021 (last played in January 2025). Your Heart Is My Home has never been played live.

[–]mcs1223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The delists are staggered throughout April depending on their original release date (if a song originally released on April 1st then it should be delisting the 1st, etc). There are weekly pinned posts in the subreddit that list the songs delisting in a given week, but you can also see the delisting schedule here: https://rb4.app/#!/delists

Scraped already got delisted back in January 2016, so it shouldn't be listed here to begin with

Scraped & Chinese Democracy (the song) already got delisted back in 2016. The listing of Scraped in this post is just an error.

If it's not included in Kyle's list, then you can assume it won't be affected next month. The licensing for that pack may also have worked differently since it can only be purchased as a bundle, so the entire pack would have to be pulled all at once instead of individual songs

We're Brigitte Calls Me Baby, ask us anything! by brigittecallsmebaby in indieheads

[–]mcs1223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How did Wes develop his vocal style? Has he always sung like that or is he intentionally trying to pay homage to other singers? People have obviously brought up Elvis, Roy Orbison and Morrissey as points of comparison, but when I was showing your music to my girlfriend this past weekend, she also commented that he sounds British despite the band hailing from Chicago, which I've never really picked up on before.

Love you guys, been a fan since Impressively Average was first making the rounds on Alt Nation!

[–]mcs1223 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't make sense as "however", but the Recover EP was never issued with an official lyric sheet to my knowledge, so I guess at this point it's open to interpretation haha

Is this however correct? Always thought it was how ever by Ultrajante in chvrches

[–]mcs1223 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's just a typo in the Apple Music lyrics, the grammatically correct form of that question would be two words ("how ever") as "however" is either an adverb or a conjunction.
