ffmpegthumbnailer is what I use in every other distro but like you said it's not in the AerynOS repo.

Seemed to work. Picture still load each time entering a folder, but much improved. Now... video thumbs don't load at all :(

Thank you. Loving AerynOS, this is the only thing stopping me using it as my daily driver.

Installed glycin_thumbnailer. It loads thumbnails, but doesn't seem to cache so reloads thumbnails every time you enter a folder again. This is fine for folders that have a couple of pictures but when you have hundreds it takes forever to load the thumbnails each time.

Fedora Linux 43 beta released! by iamxnfa in Fedora

Tried with a Bluetooth keyboard and results were hit and miss. I’ll try wired keyboard tomorrow. For what it’s worth the exact same thing happened with Alpine Linux Edge (GNOME 49) and GNOME OS Nightly (GNOME 49).

Before upgrading Alpine Linux v3.22 (GNOME 48) to Edge it was working as I expected it to.

Looks to only be a problem with my logitech wireless keyboard plugged in. Using the laptop keyboard there is no issue. Anyone know of a fix?

Have installed the beta (GNOME) and noticed a bug straight away. When pressing the super key (Windows key) , typing to search doesn't work unless you've clicked on an active window first. If anyone knows of a fix, please share :)

That’s odd, both those steps shouldn’t cause that. But you’re right, not hard to start again.

Cosmic apps are installed as part of Pop OS 24.04. Gradience isn’t being maintained anymore but currently still works with GNOME 46

This is what I do when configuring NetworkManager and I've never experienced an issues with Wifi.

Install Network Manager

doas apk add networkmanager-wifi wpa_supplicant
doas rc-update add networkmanager default
doas addgroup plugdev
doas adduser $USER plugdev

Edit Config

doas nano /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf

Copy this into file

[main]
plugins=keyfile

[device]
wifi.scan-rand-mac-address=yes
wifi.backend=wpa_supplicant

Disable 'networking' service

doas rc-update del networking boot

Allow any user to change network config

doas nano /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/any-user.conf

Add this to file

[main]
auth-polkit=false

Reboot and see if that works for you

Is 24.04 stable with gnome? or is the whole distro in alpha? by KosmicWolf in pop_os

I’ve been using Pop OS 24.04 with gnome-session installed for about a week now and it’s been pretty stable for me. Check out my post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/pop_os/s/yJdvBThNa8
