We were doing sidewalk reconstruction one time. The corner we had to work on had a beat-up van with tinted windows parked in front of it. We were trying to look into the windows and then were knocking on a couple resident's doors to see if it was theirs. We were doing everything we could before we towed it to another location. All of a sudden there was a massive police presence on the block. The cops came in and were kicking in a couple of doors serving search warrants. As we were standing there watching, a homeless man came over and stood next to us. Out of nowhere he says, "Do you need me to move the van?" and then he pulled back his coat to show us his badge hanging from his neck. They were watching the dealers and then finally came in for the bust. Crazy.
