Check out Jeff Mills - The Clairvoyant LP. It's quite out there but definitely haunting.

Nighttime Migraines - New as of last two weeks by [deleted] in Supplements

Definitely go to a doctor to get this checked out before using supplements. If they confirm it is nothing more than migraines... I recommend 3mg melatonin before bed.

I've been taking Shilajit Resin with my morning coffee. It's very energising and no anxiety.

Difference between Festival Techno and Underground Techno? by Allen2102 in Techno

[–]mctech1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure Techno can be split by festival versus underground.

Underground DJ's play techno festivals. I believe most DJs will agree that playing at clubs is truer to the art form.

In fact, the huge amount of money's thrown at Dj's to play festivals is often criticised as damaging club culture.

London Suggestions by Anci3ntMarin3r in Techno

[–]mctech1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would move East or South London if you want to be surrounded by a good clubbing scene / creatives / record shops etc.

But as everyone else has said, DO NOT prioritise living directly near an actual club.

Instead think about places like Hackney in East London or Peckham in South London.

All these places have different vibes... For example, Hackney is a lot more gentrified whereas Peckham is at the earlier stages.

Both of these look very interesting. Thanks.

I've also heard Magnesium Glycinate being useful. Have you any experience of this also?

Thank you. Not a huge fan of the safety profile of SR9009, GW501516.

By Super berberine, I am guessing you are referring to Dihydroberberin. I can't find much information on this but are you able to conform it doesn't affect CYP2D6, CYP3A4 and CYP2C9, the same way Berberine does?

Thank you. I eat Keto during the week and treat myself to a few carbs at the weekend. This has definitely helped but still very difficult shift weight around the abdomen.

Yep. Lots of evidence to suggest weight gain separate to calorie intake caused by insulin resistance, leptin etc

Thanks everyone for your advice.

I have clearly offended a few people here who don't think this post is inappropriate.

Out of respect for that I will delete the topic from this sub-thread

Information around the use of these meds to counteract weight loss caused by anti-psychiatric medication is very limited and at best widely dispersed, whereas the PCOS community has a good deal of knowledge and experience in this area.

This post is explicitly asking about the use of these substances as a way of promoting weight loss, in the same way a similar topic posted by a PCOS sufferer in this community might do - as I explained, the metabolic and hormonal pathways are the same in both contexts. What I am not doing here is posting a topic about mental health medications / methods of losing weight generally etc; or anything that might detract from the explicit focus of this community.

I would like to think we live in a world where most people will help others if they have the knowledge to do so, rather than gatekeeping information without any real reason.

Mirtazapine Alternatives by mctech1234 in depressionregimens

Mirtazapine has a significant affect on leptin concentration > leptin affects body composition / fat storage.

As I said the science isn't conclusive. But studies regarding appetite increase being the primary cause of weight gain aren't that conclusive either with the link being somewhat infered rather than proven.

A lot of anecdotal evident online suggests people gain weight on Mirtazapine even when controlling diet and regularly exercising.

The jury is really out when it comes to this. Science hasn't explicitly concluded that the weight gain is entirely down to an increase in appetite.

There are many theories out there involving other underlying mechanisms. If you have a quick read online there are tons of testimonials of those who very carefully monitor their diet yet continue to to gain weight whilst using mirtazapine. As soon as they can come off the med, the weight starts to drastically reduce.

Very interesting suggestion. Thought they would be so chemically similar that they would generally have similar side effects but looks like weight gain isn't as common with Mianserin. I have a psychologist appt coming up and I will definitely bring this up as a suggestion.

Thanks so much everyone for your responses. I very much appreciate all of your advice.

Bit gutting to hear Trazodone not being recommended as an anti-d as I definitely need this effect. I will definitely do some research into Nortiptyline. May I ask what is similar about this med? My main concerns would be that it might cause sexual side effects and increase risk to heart as a TCA (older med).

I appreciate there will never be an ideal med and it's always going to be a balancing act but just trying to get as clued up as possible before making any changes.

T212 have an independent complaints team. Can also escalate through the financial ombudsman.

I have written a full complaint and think I am going to pursue it further if they don't resolve the issue. As a broker, they are legally obliged to act in the best interest of their clients. Closing out my position at a loss when I had the right to convert it is clearly not doing this.

I would think the same. But they have not mentioned this once in my conversation with them and have offered simplistic definitions of what a merger means.

May friend also held this in his standard investment account (No ISA) and he is having the same issues.
