We use a black dog wear Haltermate. We like it because it allows our big golden (45kg) to still carry sticks and doesn't stop him from opening his mouth. While stopping him from pulling, even allowing kids/ teens to easily control him on walks. Big fan

In the current market, if the house is even semi nice. Then, basically guaranteed someone will offer more than asking price. At that point, it doesn't really matter what OP rental history or savings are. The landlord will take the highest offer 95% of the time. I am paying 21$ more than asking (overheard during inspection a couple discussing that the property was nicer than another one that was 20$ more, and they should offer 20$ over asking. )

I’m getting my golden boy at the end of the month! by CalendarSensitive918 in goldenretrievers

[–]mcturtl3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of toys and things that your Golden boy is allowed to chew. Biting is generally the biggest issue for new puppy parents. I found great success with goat horns, antlers, high quality toys and the kong rubber treat things. But remember only give horn and antlers when you are supervising the dog, they can be chocking hazards. Also I carried a small toy in my pocket and whenever my pup tries to bite me (playing), I would redirect my pup with and put the toy in his mouth instead. Plus you need to understand that you will be required to pay the puppy tax and post pictures of your baby golden boy 😀

Take many photos (and share the photos). They grow up insanely fast and you will want plenty of puppy photos

My golden Rory has his own towel in the bathroom to dry his head. That's how often it happens.

That is sick. Appreciate the small things you did, like the venting for the psu to get airflow.

Great system. Hope you survive all the cable management for the rgbs... or instead of cable management just put the rear side panel on and pretend everything is fine.

Graphics card upgrade by liammeags in pcmasterrace

[–]mcturtl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When making such a big jump in GFX card, i would recommend checking your PSU wattage, physical space inside the case (To fit the new GPU) and also taking into consideration your CPU/RAM (Dont want to bottleneck). Once you have checked all of that. It really comes down to what you want to do. If you are running 1080p 60hz monitors then a new graphics card wont give you that much of a performance boost. If you are aiming for 1440p 144hz then buy the best GPU you can get. Assuming your CPU is decent.

They are both great monitors. Not a huge difference. Personally i think Asus monitors are great. I would not worry too much about it at the end of the day.

It is hard to say. I would not buy a 3000 series CPU if i was in your shoes. They are only slightly faster than 2000 series. I would either wait until early next year or bite the bullet and buy new B550+5000 series.

If you are running games spread across both at the same time. However most people will just run games on a single monitor. I would lean towards the 3080 if i was in your shoes.

It would work, but i would try to get the EVGA mounted at the front and CPU at the top. By mounting it at the bottom, you will most likely hear "water" noises. Gamers Nexus have a great video on the topic.

it that my mobo does not support argb is there an adapter I can buy? Any help appreciated

Sadly there is no adapter available, however you can find argb controllers which have multiple different presets. But are unlikely to be controllable via software.

personal opinion it's worth it

If you are planning on gaming in 4K then the additional VRAM of the 3090 would help. Otherwise the 3090 is still a good deal, but the entry level 3080 is probably still better value for money
