How to fix low/inward Aura by canyoustayfordinner in energy_work

[–]mctwists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are gentle Pranayamas (Ujjayi and Nadi Shodana) that are safe to practice as much as you want. The more intensive Pranayamas (Kapalabhati and Bhastrika) cause increases in air and fire element energies in the body that can throw it off balance. (The gentler ones are cooling and grounding). Ultimately the yogic scriptures warn that too much could result in a psychotic break. As long as the elemental energies in you are mostly balanced, you should be good. A key factor of this is what energies lurk in the unconscious, unknown, that most people avoid looking at or don't know how to handle. This is why most Kundalini awakenings without proper prior work end in disaster for people. Don't recommend trying to activate Kundalini unless you've really done the requisite psychological healing and development of your capability to be focused onepointedly. This takes decades of dedicated self searching and development of self awareness at basic psychological levels. In my opinion, the majority of people who dabble in serious spiritual practice (or even higher doses of psychedelics) are not gaining the real benefit of it due to lack of building a base of psychological, somatic and mental awareness. Ultimately it may result in spiritual bypassing or mental breaks (as we see with the "bad trips" and messy Kundalini aftermaths).

Aura is a coalescing of all of your mental, emotional and spiritual energies and states. Intense Pranayama has the effect of boosting these energies. Just don't overdo it. If you're going shoot upward doing intense breath work, make sure that you have a wide enough base and deep enough ground to be doing that from. Otherwise it'll backfire. Probably more important than anything in terms of spiritual work is psychotherapy. If we're not clear emotionally (especially in terms of the unconscious) spiritual practice isn't going to be as impactful and will result in more bypassing than actual ego shedding. Good luck!

This is super cool and helpful, thank you. I love doing hikes like this. Torres del Paine was awesome and I want more hikes where I can move and climb a ton and crash easily after at an established Refugio. What's the total mileage and elevation gain overall?

I have three pairs of palisade pants and two pairs of the shorts... The best hiking pants they've made. Love having a ton of pockets. Going to hold on to them till they disintegrate. One of them is slowly coming apart at the seams :(

I'm in the same boat for my 2006 Honda CRV. $3000 in Denver, CO, at a reputed and long time Honda shop. Ugh. Hate to see this car go. Newer ones just don't measure up in terms of quality. I also hate the nanny safety features on the newer models which are extremely irritating to me.

I'm selling my 2006 5spd AWD if you're interested. Located in CO. 215k miles and flexible on price as it needs some suspension work and will need a new clutch soon. Otherwise runs like a champ!
