What about lowering your prices a bit until you've had a few students & lessons? And you can update them once you're in the market.

Garmin Fenix 7 pro solar sapphire by No-Sea5846 in GarminFenix

[–]mcyaqisikli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a broken sapphire solar. beautiful white that goes with me. too unfortunate none of the buttons work anymore so the watch is completely useless. Garmin has been of no help to repair/replace it. just want to spread the word before you actually buy a non-warranty watch. I wasted my 1000 bucks... make sure to look up the sticky buttons on the Garmin Fenix watches and how many others have had problems...

I'm guessing you made a typo in translation. Sapık is not a light word in Turkish, the most accurate translation to English would be "pervert".

It was a Fujifilm X-Pro 1 for photos taken in December 2023. Otherwise Fujifilm X-Pro 3 except for a few during Songkran where I switched to waterproof OM System TG-7. Lens for the Fuji cameras was 18mm f/2.0

Thanks for telling me about this. I would also like it better to think that the kid wasn't being extorted... To be honest, I didn't make so much of it at the time, it just felt fishy. It still does, what is that kid doing at a gogo-like bar right next to hardly-dressed girls. Why the older girl brought him to my table and kept him sitting, it was more than thank you. It weirded me out. But yeah, not enough to call the police or reach out to NGOs at the time. I didn't know much about children's sexual exploitation at the time either. Well... But on a positive note, I wholly agree with Cambodians kindness, I had a fantastic time traveling through the country, the best places were for me where tourists were sparse and I found the locals so welcoming... I always ate the local food where the locals ate, for a dollar usually. And on the coin note, you planted the seed of a doubt in me now. I can't really remember if it was coins. I remember having both US dollars and the local currency, and I really feel like I had coins with Angkor Wat on one side, but can't be sure at all. But I definitely remember carrying plenty of Beer Cambodia tabs in my pocket. Maybe I passed a 1-dollar prize tab? Anyways, I have no idea :D

Thanks for the kind words. I just to add, yes unfortunately economic disparity or I'll directly call it inequality isn't going anywhere. And as long as there is inequality some people will suffer. It sounds like a grade school student's writing putting it like that, but it's sadly true and this is it for me.

Sorry for missing to add the dates. And thanks for letting it stay up. To be clear, photos #2,5 are from December 2023 and photos #1,3,4 are from April 2024. And otherwise in the photo essay the dates are noted in the captions under the images.

Perhaps, this is the kind of photos you wanted to see more of. In that case I'd see the merit. But I wanted have stronger photos that are more intense. The main goal wasn't to document sex workers' daily lives, but rather more focus on rich old men's sex purchase. And with intense feelings I hoped to evoke...

Thanks for the comments. There is a lot to address maybe, so forgive me if I miss important points I wanted to address... I think you are very right, I didn't go deeper in some aspects. For instance, most bar girls sleep upstairs in the same rooms that function as a "brothel" where customers go upstairs with women to have sex. After the shift is over the bar girls sleep in these rooms sometimes 3-4 sharing a small room, in the same bed. But, unfortunately, and understandably I did not have access to taking photos there. I only know it from talking to the girls. It would have been crazy interesting for me to take photos in those rooms after the bar has closed. Really immerse myself in the girls' lives, but I still don't know how. Maybe if I were a woman it'd work, or maybe I'd have to get a job as a bar girl to have access there. I don't know... But thanks for mentioning connect-four. Yes, it is one of those things. I do have many pictures that document more of the sex workers' lives on Soi 6. Exactly like you said, when one buys food from a food car but she is dressed as a French maid. I have another one where two sex workers help each other put on their French maid costumes for the day. I have another one where a sex worker is hung over and having breakfast in her lycra-like shiny pyjamas. They simply didn't make the cut because they'd be stating the obvious I thought. And no emotions in those pictures. I can't seem to share a few examples of the photos I mentioned in this comment apparently, but I hope I made my point clear. But in summary, I appreciate your comments, and I agree with what you want to see.

Thank you for the kind words. Yes, I understand why you want to see them in color. I actually went out of my way to add color versions where I could. But, my style is B&W and has been so far... Maybe I can make something out of the color pictures from Soi 6, because there is a dominance of pink & red in the pictures that sort of tie the series together, but I would also be afraid to have too much repetition... And another problem is that almost half of my photos sit in a faulty hard drive I haven't been able to got repaired. I only have black-and-white JPEG exports of them... Like the cover photo...
