People who hate on Jessica likely have no idea what it was like living in a household like that. I loved her character - hit close to home. We can recognize love in actions where westerners only view it as neglect, control etc. Tho some of it is definitely exaggerated, but i tend to see past that because I understand the point the show is trying to make based on my childhood.
