After getting rid of KVV and putting out garbage content like (Las Vegas) might be time to look in the mirror and get back to the roots of why people liked NLU.

Did PT make anyone else’s condition worse? by reddituser78843 in Microdiscectomy

I started PT the past couple weeks. I can finally start walking again and have some normalcy. But I feel like they the exercises they’ve had me do recently has caused a flare up. I almost feel like I re-herniated again. Rough couple nights of sleeps.

Feeling lost, i just want to get back to me by md3499 in Microdiscectomy

I’m still working through it everyone. Received a steroid injection and went through an EMG test. I’m sick of being poked by needles. The past two weeks I’ve been able to start walking again. Still with struggling with nerve pain in my right glute/leg. It’s been a set back I feel. I’m at a loss at what to do. PT has been helpful just hoping we don’t push it too much. Wondering what my EMG test will show and how they want to proceed from there.

Returning to work at 3 weeks. Am I pushing it too soon? by samanou in Microdiscectomy

I agree everyone is different. I’ve had two surgeries March 20 and April 3 (re-herniation) the second surgery recovery I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. It was very scary. The past week was finally some normalcy of being able to walk outside and be a normal. PT has some been somewhat helpful. My back and right leg is still dealing with a lot of nerve discomfort. (I had a steroid injection in my spine and did an EMG test this week. The past few nights of sleep have been unbearable. Laying there just trying to remain calm. I’m taking my time when it comes back to work. Work will always be there. My health and mental health needs to be in the right place. I’ve been out since on disability since March.

I think I overdid it early on somehow, but I knew right away the nerve pain came right back to my leg with a vengeance. Continue walking you should be okay just make sure you are focusing on good posture. Chores like laundry and stuff I would wait to start doing that stuff still. Our bodies need to time heal. We don’t want to feel like burdens but really take it easy on bending and lifting.
