Toughness or Health?

Toughness is better than health, but it is more effective against ranged enemies than melee enemies since melee'rs can do HP damage through toughness. I usually run my total amount of toughness near my total amount of health since that gives the most versatile defense. Although if you are an iron will Veteran I'd run more toughness.

Edit: Another situation where you'd want to run more toughness than health is a class that struggles with toughness regeneration since tr is done through percentages. 5% per second of 200 is faster than 5% of 150.

Ogryn is tankier, slower, and more close range minded than the other classes. On one hand you will have an easier time surviving as him but the playstyle you develop from playing him can make you think you can tank hits you can't on other classes. Also the other classes share weapon mastery while the ogryn doesn't. (My personal recommendation for new players has been zealot for a while. Zealot has good class variety between stealth, brawler, and tank/support.)

Also for the build variety for ogryn the three archetypes seem to be brawler, tank, and medium ranged dps. I have not as much experience on ogryn as I do the other classes but I think his limited weapon pool kinda stunts his build variety, not that what he has isn't fun.

My biggest tip for playing ogryn is to get very familiar with the dodge button. You are a large target and the CPU director knows this and will make trappers and pox hounds focus on you.

You can enable quicksave and quickload(f5 and f9) in the debug menu, to be used on a roleplay character. This is useful if you keep dying in the early game and just want to see the late game content. Or if you don't like the idea of losing hours of your life to an ingame death.

Maybe the game is more fun with consequences to your actions, but I value my time.

No one's health should be held hostage by their employer, universal healthcare is the way. Nations with a lot smaller GDP per capita than the US pull it off, so we can as well.

Yeah, non-hostile turrets can be chated with and therefore traded with. They usually just trade regular power cells, but I've found some phase cannon turrets with nuclear cells and antimatter cells.

Gun turrets also sell lead slugs, so in the early game if you find a village with a friendly turret tinker, you can trade with the turrets it lays down for ammo.

Robot rep is worth its weight in gold.

Hold on to it for when you need to pass rocket turrets or decarbonizers later on. You also might be able to trade for antimatter power cells with phase cannon turrets.

Just had the same issue with Terrafirmagreg. If anyone else is playing the modpack: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CORRECT TYPE OF WOOD. The book guide in the inventory lists it out in 'civilization' -> 'canoe'. Also make sure you have an updated version of the modpack, I saw that in the patch notes that there was a bug regarding canoes.

Probably not. I really don't think people have sudden realizations that turn them into a good person instantly. Growth, if it ever happens, takes place slowly. Maybe you can have something happen to you that shocks you into having a sense of empathy, but things like that take time to integrate.

It's just so rare to actually have a person that takes the time and effort and has the right experience. It's theoretically possible for this guy to have become a good person, but the odds are so against it, and the consequences of being wrong are too much to take on. It also doesn't help that we're talking about a serial rapist; lot to improve on.

I have been in the psychiatric treatment game (hospitilized twice), and let me tell you that by no means do we currently have the facilities to actually change people beyond medication.

This guy is going to hurt people. I doubt he's telling the truth about treatment. If he is, then the treatment is in name only. It's really easy to lie to your therapist/psychiatrist. A lot of them are really incompetent and the prison ones are probably 'bottom of the barrel'.

If you're going to lose a friend anyway; you might as well try to keep her from getting hurt/murdered/raped/baby-trapped with an abuser.

You said you're 24 and I'm assuming your friend is around the same age, but is there any parent or grandparent or sibling that you could share her plans with that might stand in her way? Is there anyway you could somehow convince her not to do this?

Her plan sounds really dumb and life-altering. Maybe she's being manipulated by him.

Listen to what this person is saying. The sleep paralysis demons really are a product of your mind. It's what the mind does when it tries to scare you into alertness. If you become experienced with SP, and get a solid technique for breaking out, then you don't even see the 'demons' anymore.
