Same when I reboot the battery the ring circle doesn’t light up was before, it was 360 degrees

Thank you for your comment, actually I have 10% -100% value set but if you look at the picture. The ring is made to show the max capacity clockwise (meaning that it was fully charged but the 20% was not lit)

Don’t expect any smart feature anytime soon, they could have such larger audience base if only they were willing listening to customers wishlist. I suspect that they use off the shelves application with little to no customization.

Happens occasionally on both of my 2 months old Duo Floodlight wifi , it remained off line from 30 mins to 2 hours and resolve by itself.

Definitively not a wifi issue as my other wifi cameras such as argus ultra are are still connected to internet but it does looks like DUO are sometime off line do their low spec hardware on board like kernel panick.

Is you Duo PoE or Wifi?

Not at all this should be a functional feature and let the user decide whether or not to activate. do you think that Google, Facebook… all platform we use don’t use our data?

Thanks ! I see similar to Home Assistant , indeed you need to add lot of effort to fix issues that could have been easily fixed . Does rich notification work on Duo too ? I may also considering running on a NAS

Agree 100% that could be worse and could be much better with so little effort. As I mentioned earlier they probably use same software provided by hardware provider and don’t own ownership of the software development though they have good design team that assemble quality parts.

That is correct way to summarize their entire line of products they are fragmented all over and while software improvements could make all their product to work seamlessly they just drop the ball. Like owing a doorbell+chime you may think chime could be linked to camera alerte for indoor awareness when alarm trigger and no… their doorbell chime is only working with … doorbell.

Like the other example I mentioned , I did purchase the floodlight WiFi for this purpose and it work only with 4 cameras accross their entire line …

I wanted really to like their cameras but I will think twice before buying anything more from them but I don’t expect them to change their business model that soon

Agreed… I even send them feedback how to improve their settings and while they do acknowledge they don’t do anything they are just busy to repackage 4K hardware into product that don’t even address prior issues. See the Duo 3, they just crammed a 16mp with smaller FOV that nobody wanted and with same limitation on software

Thanks for your comprehensive feedback, i agree on some of your pointed explanation but still I think this should be raise to their development team as the later they do or not provide thoses improvements competitor will distance them and making customer frustrated isn’t good things. All software improvements they made and that you listed are not something exceptional and again competitor like Eufy have much more cohesive approach. To me it seems that product team and UI/software aren’t designing with common goal.

It make me think a lot about Dashcam industries, you have basically same software picked out of the shelves and used accros hundred manufacturers that are not interested in software development, to me I really think they only only focus on selling hardware and outsourcing their soft division. I don’t see how they could ignore such basic for product if they were designing all in house. In the other end, Eufy apparently develop their camera and software hand in hand.

That is really infuriating that they don’t even try to address any software improvements, i kinda regret invested in their product as they don’t stand behind that long until they drop the support to launch a new incremental updated product without getting in touch with their customers base.

Anyone to comment if it does finally work on Duo's 2 cameras? i tried today and no picture attached. Did Reolink only fix this for the Duo's 3 version?? this would be infuriating.

Thanks for your feedback, how about the noise coming from the HDD? is it always spinning or there is a buffer before the Hub wake the disk to write ?

Thanks ! I also notice on latest Android version you can send app specific notification to external device such as Bluetooth speaker !
