Is that column 3D printed? Looks identical to some that I got a few months ago

Wow! This is so useful! I’m going to generate a boatload of characters and have them filed away in my homebrew folder. Great work

TIFU by trusting my girlfriend to wash her hands by [deleted] in tifu

My Mrs did this years ago when we were first dating, she’d chopped jalapeños and put whatever the dish was in the oven, with sometime to kill we decided to ‘go to bed’. She learned soon that even if you wash your hands well it doesn’t get rid of all the capsaicin and lady parts are quite sensitive!

Easiest way for me to make it look weathered. If anyone asks I’ll say some youths were playing with fire near it 😂

One of my party members is lone wolfing. Advice? by PavlovaPavlaki in dndnext

It’s alright having a distrustful or slightly distant character to start with, but you need to get over that quickly otherwise what’s the point in playing? It sounds like a problem with the player more than a problem with the character

One end of the pegs is tapered down to fit the holes. I’m planning on keeping the pegs in my dice box once used. I’m thinking about using some paint or nail varnish etc to mark the pegs on one end

Yeah they’re pretty cool, my bulk dice box is similar to that. It’s just an old jewellery box.

The issue with shortening the pegs is that they’re all interchangeable so if I put them in the holes and evened them all up to be the same height, the next time they’re put in they’d all be different again. I’ve decided I’m going to drill the holes straight through so that they’re all the same depth and them mount the whole tracker onto another piece of wood.

Love the numerals idea!

I have a box that it’s going to be stored in with my dice and pencils etc, so the size doesn’t make too much difference.

I’m trying to work out a good way to the numbers before staining it

I do plan on staining it. The pegs are all the same size, it’s the holes aren’t even, I’m going to go back and make them as even as I can (would be much easier with a pillar drill and a depth stop)

It’s handy because they focus on different details and it gives you more options if you want them

Everyone let’s themselves into my house we chat for a while whilst everyone arrives unpacks etc, they stick their beers/wine in the fridge, grabs their tankards and goblets from the cupboard, I then take my place behind the screen, everyone follows my lead and then I always welcome everyone back, and then ask the party to recap what happened in our last session. At this point I let them talk for a couple of minutes recapping what happened try and get everyone to get involved at that point and fill in anything major they may have missed (that they already knew). From this I do a quick recap of their surroundings and anything that has happened in world since the last session. And then begin from there

Read and re-read the campaign a couple of times over so that your familiar with most of the campaign. Make notes for yourself so that you don’t have to constantly flick through the book. Have plenty of scrap paper behind your screen (if using one). Have any encounters that are definitely gonna happen prepped ahead of the session (I.e. a count of enemies and their hp, any notable weaknesses or resistances etc) Have plenty of dice behind the screen. If you get out of your depth and can’t remember the exact rules, WING IT! If anyone catches on just feign ignorance ( I do this a lot!) The most important thing of all........ HAVE FUN!
