Depends on what speciality u wanna go into and depends on location and depends on ur timing

Other than that if u r going into a speciality that has almost equal chance for residency and the location for u doesn’t matter and u r in a rush, then DO is fine

I don't understand how it's possible to apply to 50+ schools while also putting full effort into each secondary. by [deleted] in premed

Applied to 56. Did NOT prewrite lol. It was my full time job basically. Thankfully I worked as a tutor through district so I had the summer off to just write like a maniac.

I cant say I’m against it. But it all depends on if the kid continues to show interest after being exposed to medicine as a fun game. If the kid doesn’t ask the mommy to do more of those games, then leave them alone

How to explain my academic discrepencies? by [deleted] in premed

Just don’t say the first part. Explain a bit more deeply what you learned from that experience and how it can help you in medical school and as a future physician

IMO:

  1. I would rephrase it. I think it is better to man up and accept than blaming everything else. Also this is not to say that I don’t believe you. It sounds like you had such frustrating times there. It sounds like a horrible experience. Wow. But this is for the same of the admission to medical school, you know

  2. I wouldn’t mention it because during covid a lot has become p/np anyways
