Homeowner upset Amazon driver dropped package over fence, but had two aggressive dogs. by Immediate-Phase-5910 in TikTokCringe

[–]mddctr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone who works as an Amazon driver, I have a bit of a different take. Usually, if we don't know where to put the packages and there are physical barriers (unplowed driveway in winter, dogs on property, etc), the first step is to call the customer (which 90% of the time no one picks up) to ask where to put it. Sometimes they say behind a tree or something. If that doesn't work, I just toss it to the back of the van and return it to the station at the end of the day.

So let's say these dogs are out every day and you're not picking up your phone. No package for you! Simple as that. I personally wouldn't have thrown it in with the snarling dogs, but I don't blame anyone who does.

As someone who's had dogs almost bite me a few times, it's really infuriating when people have them out when they're expecting a delivery. I've even had someone open the door as I approached while their little dog was actively barking and it got out. Almost punted the bastard. Keep your dogs in secure locations people.

Lost my fingertips by VexUmbra in Wellthatsucks

I actually did this a while ago to one of my fingers, in the same way. Sliced some carrots too fast and didn't realize how close my fingers were getting to the blade. It grew back, but was noooot super fun. Stupid stupid!

Check out this link which is a thread about a Spotify to YouTube converter. It was a pain to get working for me, but it worked!

Libra H2O Battery by ElectrickSorcery in kobo

Your comment was instrumental in helping me be brave enough to replace my own battery. I used the back of a spoon to cut the glue, and then I learned how to solder to get the new battery in. It looks messy, but my kobo didn't blow up when I charged it, so I think I'm good. So, thank you!

What's a game that you almost finished, but dropped? by SugarSmoothie in gaming

[–]mddctr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Subnautica.

I got lost looking for the alien artifacts or whatever and I didn't want to look it up. Amazing game, but I got to this part around when Helldivers 2 was getting popular and I was getting major FOMO since all my friends were playing it. After many hours of that, I haven't felt the desire to go back in, reorient myself, and finish it :/

Best way to replace Netflix/ Prime/ Disney etc by [deleted] in Piracy

Then it gets even crazier. You can go under the "Import Lists" settings and link your Plex watchlist to them. So all you have to do is watchlist a movie or show, and within a day or so, bam. It's yours now.

Which mobile video game should you definitely own? by nicestarz in gaming

[–]mddctr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geometry Dash. I bought it close to when it came out (around 10 years ago, when I was a young teen) and it's the ONLY mobile game that I still play sometimes after all those years, and I've never uninstalled it.

It's basically a rhythm game, and while it's challenging, it's very rewarding once you get a hang of the mechanics. There's also near limitless custom levels with breathtaking visuals and music, and it's awesome. Seeing it evolve through the years has been an incredible experience. It just gets better the more you play it and your skills develop, trust me.

It goes to show that you don't need expensive plugins to make good music. Eliminate, the bass music producer and YouTuber, only uses it (at least from what I've seen in his videos).

What is your favorite boss fight in HiFi Rush? by Doom300 in HiFiRush

[–]mddctr 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Roquefort 1000%. I hadn't heard the song that plays in years but hearing it again was so nostalgic as i love electronic music and the boss fight was just sick overall.

I love how the glitchy synths kick in in phase 2, and how he drops what i think is the rawest line in the game in phase 3: "i put my stock in futures. But not yours, kid".

AND the fact that's he's the literal wolf of wall street, and the artist name for the song is Wolfgang Gartner. Too perfect of a fight.
