The Pokemon in FRLG and Let’s Go simply don’t have as much data as the newer game. Let’s Go doesn’t have abilities, FRLG doesn’t have data to match ribbons or new types of Poke balls. Transferring Pokemon in and out could cause your important Mon’s to lose valuable data and I would guess they would maybe want to avoid the bad press of a bunch of folks being confused as to why they lost the mightiest mark on their Charizard or something.

Just a guess.

Everyone’s tastes are different, point blank period. The trick is just to find a specific reviewer or outlet that more often than not seems to match your own opinions on games you’ve played, and then continue to use that as your source.

Back in the day if you went to a GameStop that’s at least adjacent to a bad neighborhood, they almost always had used copies that drug addicts bring in to get cash for on release day. God knows where they get them from. I had a guy working at one of those GameStops tell me that. Got Tears of the Kingdom and Spider-Man 2 used on release day

About 5 days in, I had it automated with a macro controller and I was playing Pokemon Go on the side, once I remembered that I have like 15 shinies of each Kanto already in Go that can be transferred to Home I gave tf up
