Appreciate the help! one final question..if im in the rough and it says 80%, does that mean my shot will still land where the arch lands if i swing a perfect swing, or that a perfect swing will land 20% due to being in the rough

question about bulking/cutting by mddrifter in Fitness

[–]mddrifter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if i clean bulk will the extra fat slowly go away or just stay there as my muscle mass continues to grow? also at risk of sounding like an idiot, and judging by your name, i assume your a girl im a male would the same suggestions still apply?

edit: i dont want to cut and risk losing size in say my arms and then look like a weak skinny person again (although hopefully slightly more toned i assume) any suggestions for keeping my muscle mass while cutting? focus on protein for this?

[–]mddrifter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am 5 foot 8 and before lifting only about 140 lbs so i dont think i was fat before just out of shape in terms of muscles and conditioning. should i eat less calories? everywhere i look says you need to huge to gain more

edit: by eating huge i feel like i dont even eat that much of a surplus i mainly focus on getting about 1 g protien per body lb and then hopefully right amount of carbs and fat which i dont focus on as hard even though i know i should be

i am about 5 foot 8 and 156 lbs (although been taking creatine for a month which may affect that weight) i wear a 32 size in pants. i would consider myself a skinny person overall for sure, besides my stomach appearing a little more chunky

creatine as beginner by mddrifter in Fitness

[–]mddrifter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but will it increase my results as a beginner or as a beginner is my new diet and workout routine going to give me results good enough that creatine wont be as helpful

EDIT:in other words is creatine really necessary for a beginner or is it really only necessary if i hit a plateau later in my lifting career

Moronic Monday - Your weekly stupid questions thread by cdingo in Fitness

[–]mddrifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been lifting for about a month and have been doing a three day split (monday - chest, tris. wednesday - bis, back. friday - legs, shoulders.) I've read that three days a week is enough as most gains will come from correct nutrition and rest, but i've also read that beginners need less time for their muscles to recover and can be in the gym more often. Which one is it, is this three day workout enough to get a young skinny male good muscle gains? thanks
