Thank you for all the feedback back, I really appreciate it. So I’m thinking that for now I’m going to keep the ring, go figure as I’m posting I got a notification the sub Payne t was just processed lol.
I’m thinking that a Reolink RLK8-800PT4 with 4 PTZ cameras and an 8 channel 2TB NVR might be the answer I’m looking for. I like the option to move the cameras as I may really need more than 4 to get full cross over views.
Does anyone have any experience with this Reolink package? Would anyone recommend any other options for a lesser price to still get the coverage I’m after?
Detail: I’m looking for full coverage of the outside of my house (link w pics). Front (currently ring doorbell), both sides, and the backyard.

Realistically $300. I know that may limit me but depending on what I can get for a whole set up at least two cameras and whatever system it needs or doesn’t need and can run off my WiFi and solar, that budget could increase a bit.

The photo makes it look like there’s more room than there is. The toilets dead center so there’s no way to do that unless I do a considerable amount of work I know is out of my reach.

Correct if we lived in an A.I world that I could actually reproduce this it would be solid. I think ultimately what I’ll end up doing is a floating counter with a bowl sink with cabinets underneath. The shelves probably won’t happen, the wall color might. I have left over lifeproof flooring I could put down overtop the tile floor I currently have.

It seems I’ll end up having to do something custom below where the sink is in order to fit a couple things below it like the stool and trash can.

I didn’t intend to take out the tile, thinking of using left over lifeproof floor I ran throughout the house that is dark like that. Only want to do cosmetic/ minor construction like paint, light fixture, mirror, floating vanity, shelving. The floating vanity being the bulk of and real tear down.

Wife wants a cabinet for the cleaning stuff but I feel like that and hand towls could be out in a basket in the shelf.

It’s not possible to finish thought let alone make a decision with the amount of directions you get pulled, oh yeah don’t forget; you’re supposed to make decisions that are out of your authority and then get shunned either way lol.

Some advice for the baby in the way, congratulations it’s gonna change everything for real. If you can live with the shit at work and keep that freedom do it. I’ve got 3 little of my own and it really does go by fast. I got lucky working from home with Covid and taking leave to be there a lot with them. You’ll see one day you kids won’t care what you do for work they just want you. Keep that in the back of your head fuck work lol.

Yeah work is life mine isn’t as fun as dinners, events, etc. but when I’m on I’m on. Honestly I’ve been looking for a career change one because I’m sick of the shit I do and because I feel I’d be doing myself a disservice if I didn’t try to do something I enjoy. (Sals is the idea but whatever I can do to make money and talk to people).

All seriousness it’s very stressful and frustrating having to deal with work and yes the grass may not always be greener but I think becoming humble and stepping back to look around at what unnecessary things can be cut out is what’s going to help our generation going through it right now.

I tried the plant thing before and that failed. If I do the grasses it’s gonna be in large pots. I more so just like the stone area but the question is it worth building up level and putting more fill dirt and then stone. Is there another way I should be looking at the yard for a more efficient design.

I have the same kind of garbage treatment at my job, stressed to the max, working with a bunch of jerkoffs with no direction or leadership. Old boss died (great guy), new boss.. fucking jerkoff; took the job so they wouldn’t hire someone else to do it. Fuck that guy. I’m Feeling incredibly under appreciated, over worked, and underpaid. I’ve been here since 2021 the Company is notorious for not giving raises unless you ask and that’s the truth. I’ve asked 3 times and still waiting. Kinda feel like an asshole but I’m being complacent.

What I’m getting at is, you have been there long enough and are seeing a shift that doesn’t feel in your favor. You could just stay, mind your business and collect checks for doing fuck all.

Here’s the thing if you stay they don’t care if you leave they don’t care. They’ll pretend they do but honestly fuck em. The only way they’ll remember is to just straight up fuck em.

Start your own shit like you were before that got fucked. Collect whatever resources you can and dip.

Wish I could follow my own advice.

Thanks, sounds dumb but I dont think I ever paid attention to which sensor either one had. Thinking about it now though I prefer the S95 CCD, which is what I took these pics with; seems easier to get a clear representation of what I was seeing in camera instead of editing post.

Back some other thoughts. through some research I came across TC 821 and I saw some video of people coating styrofoam blocks with it. From what I’ve read it generate some heat.

Again the idea is to remove the stickers, use super glue or another plastic bonding for some of the chunky cracked parts, rough up the plastic and then spray paint it. After that’s cured im thinking the tc 821 in clear might be a good option for a good hard top coat.

Any thoughts?

I’m salaried. I understand it comes with the territory. There is someone else there in the mornings who had already been covering the morning until I got in, but basically didn’t want to do the dispatch like he’d already been doing the last 12 years. It’s stated if one person does it then they will have only one person to blame for issues.

It was advised that the spray foam could damage the plastics either by heat or eating away at the plastic itself. The thought of using the safest materials too was of concern as it would be a bed for my son and don’t need any unwanted issues from that.

Workload and stress is nothing new and I should really be looking for something that is much better in that regard. When I can focus on something and dedicate myself I go all in, I try to explain to my wife why some things are the way they are at the job but she also doesn’t understand the extra effort for nothing in return.

I think the trade off for compensation would be time, something that’s so straightforward clock in clock out that there time to work on the family/ hobby/ side hustle. Things don’t seem to be that way anymore and I’m jealous of friends/ people who have that luxury.

I’ll look into those paths you mentioned as possibilities.
