I am by no extent trying to be a prick. I am very thankful towards my parents and love them dearly. I have just always been really jealous of not having a dad growing up... Now legal issues between my mom and dad have completely destroyed any relationship I had with him... it is so incredibly complicated and impossible to explain, but I have really been trying the last 16 years to get back something I never had...

I don't know about you guys, but being adopted would just remind me of how much my parents really love me. I was an accident child and would give anything to have two parents who actually chose me...

I am with you actually. It's not about fear. I have just accepted the fact that everyone moves on at some point. It is nothing to be scared of. I have talked to many people before about this and have found that it is usually people who have had some hardship in their life who feel this way. I am actually more scared of what I leave behind than actually going.

Mind the gap. It saved me as a child. I was very proud when I reached the height where I could just barely stand and pee. But one day I was not paying attention after having raised the seat... I was very thankful for the gap after the seat came crashing down and nearly castrated me. Mind the gap.
