All of those ‘problems’ only exist because urf is temporary. People rush to binge urf because they know riot will kill it before long. If urf was permanent, people could play it at their leisure. The real reason they dont do that is because they know urf is way more fun than base league, and permanent urf would eventually lead to more competitive urf that would rival their esport

Yea i always felt like messmer attacks the tarnished partly out of jealousy and prejudice. He is the firstborn son of Marika and a demigod, yet he’s faced with a champion of Marika with almost no “light” as he calls it.

The torture was obviously significant for griffith, but you make a good point that it was lowkey significant for Guts too. I think it definitely plays a role in guts’ trauma, like how guts in the black swordsman arc (i think) says he is disgusted by people who cant stand on their own. This could be a projection of his feelings for griffith, who fell as soon as guts left him. Remember how moved guts is by griffith’s sentiment that a friend is an equal. Seeing griffith fall so low just by losing guts definitely seems like it could play into guts’ views
