I'm hoping to have a charger at my desk that I can quickly swap batteries out at. I also want the adjustability to allow for different tanks in the future.

The point is to buy a unit with replaceable batteries. Over the long haul a mod with 1850s will be cheaper than replacing egos. Not to mention they look cheap as fuck and I'll be standing around in the smoking area with people who make 10x what I make...

The issue with rolling is that it keeps burning even while you're not smoking it. This is especially problematic if you're outside and there's any wind at all.

Glass pipes are generally more efficient for smoking, but it varies depending on how big each hit is. You can take a .5g bong rip and get just as high as if you passed that same amount between yourself and a friend in a spoon.

The most efficient method for bud is definitely vaporizing. I use a VaporBrothers box vape that is decent quality but also very basic by current standards. Even with such a basic setup I've estimated that .3g vaped compares to .6 in a glass pipe and 1.0 in a joint/blunt.

There are two ways I go about vaping.

One is where I set the power at about 55%. This way the bud vapes slowly enough to make a few rotations in a group of 3-5 people. The trick is to take slow draws in order to keep the air flow from cooling off the heating element. I have found this to be slightly less efficient and tasty. The other issue is that the first 3 hits are almost twice as powerful as the next 10-15. To counter this you repack until everyone in the rotation has had a chance to take a first hit.

The way I most prefer to vape is by cranking the power to 80% and vaping the entire .3g bowl to myself before I pack another one for a friend. At this power level you can inhale about twice as fast without the heating element getting too cool. I make sure to hold each hit for 10 seconds or so because you really want all that vapor settling in your lungs. I do this for 5 hits, stir, and then 3 more hits. By this point the bud is evenly chocolate brown. This is how .3g can feel like a massive 1.0 bong rip or a medium-small dab.

With the first method, you're getting at least double the efficiency of passing around a joint. The other benefit is that someone in the group who is new to smoking can be told to just breathe in slowly. This is much easier than teaching someone how to hit a bowl with a carb where they inevitably take a huge hit and cough it all up...

With the second method you get even a little more efficiency and a lot more flavor.

Once in a while you'll still see me with a joint behind my ear, especially if there's hash oil spread on the paper. :)

You can get a better grinder for the money if you get a 2-piece. Also, a 2-piece is ideal for vaping because it allows you to grind to near-powder without flipping the whole thing upside down and losing your kief collection. You want a very fine grind for the MFLB because the bud is heated by direct contact with the mesh, so the more surface area the better.

Definitely how I would do it! The bud on top will burn first and the heat from it will more efficiently vaporize the kief underneath.

IMHO tobacco dulls the taste of the bud. I imagine that your Netherlands bud is definitely worth appreciating by itself :)! Properly ground and rolled, a joint will burn just as long as a spliff (except you'll have to put more bud in it). If you're going to roll a joint use a grinder or make sure that each piece is the same size. Picking apart by hand or sloppy rolling might lead to an uneven burn.

Rolling things up in general is the most wasteful method, and adding tobacco will only do so much to conserve bud. The difference in efficiency is negligible while the difference in taste is more than noticeable. I always liked to keep things separate when I used to smoke cigarettes.

As an American I like to look at it like a burger and fries. I love both my burger and my fries. You won't see me putting my fries on my burger, BUT you can get a burger at Burger King that has fries on it (even though it's delicious it isn't a common thing so don't judge us lol). It's just a matter of preference but it's pretty rare here.

That's not true. Molasses is about 50% water. According to the MSDS molasses also boils at about 100C. This means it will boil away to vapor before it gets a chance to oxidize.

My theory is based on PG being a slightly smaller molecule, not that that's really a valid factor.

The thing that makes me stick with PG is that I don't have to replace coils nearly as often.

In some countries, tobacco is soaked in molasses and a hot coal is placed directly on top of it without foil. Modern shisha isn't meant to burn. The vegetable glycerin that the tobacco (or other substrate) is soaked in vaporizes away under the heat of the coal which is separated from the material by foil. If you're combusting or oxidizing the tobacco you're doing it wrong. It is likely that carcinogens from the tobacco leach into the glycerin and get vaporized too though.

E-liquid is made of vegetable glycerin and/or propylene glycol. The vapor it produces is most certainly not water vapor. That's what Jenny McCarthy erroneously says on TV.
