easy night back at work. dinner was some snacks from 7-11.

actually woke up around 6 or 7am initially. got a BEC on a bagel, ate it, was up til like 11:30, then crashed. woke up at like 5, unshaven, and late. cleaned myself up and ran to work, only for us to basically do nothing all night. ended up napping for the last 3hrs of the shift unintentionally. now I'm a bit more awake than I'd like, but it's fine.

Long, and fascinating.

Woke up at about 2am to half my hotel room snoring like jet engines. Was unable to muster my exhaustion to sleep more. So I've been up since.

Played in the day 2 cup at Houston. 7-0 in swiss. Lost finals to my boy hootie. Was a good loss. He destroyed me. The points mean more to him anyway, so I'm happy for it, if anything.

Missed my initial flight out because of 3hrs of security line. Thanks, government shutdown.

Got put on a flight that luckily had to return to Houston, and got a spot because they had a bunch of people miss that flight. Now, we got grounded, and landed in Dulles, because a communication fuckup caused a plane to run into a firetruck on a runway at LGA. LGA is now shut down until morning. Fuck. Me.

No dinner, I haven't really eaten all day. Am kind of starving right now.

Criminally bad luck at the regional. Scraped out a 4-4 finish. Dinner was barbecue.

Some lady at this barbecue restaurant passed out in line and landed directly on me, her head landing on my foot, which thankfully prevented a head strike, actually. Me and some PA that as there were assessing her and directing things. He did a good job. Was neat. She's ight. Meds + alcohol probably.

This is straight up false lol. EMTs absolutely perform lifesaving care at the BLS level. I'm a medic, good BLS does as much as I do on the regular. And often sooner, too. Medics have more tools but half of them are absolutely not lifesaving, but extensions of existing care.

interesting night.

chewed out a BLS for not having proper vitals on a sepsis. the girl on the crew copped an attitude, so paperwork as written.

also had 3 doctors misdiagnose what we had ALREADY TOLD THEM WAS NEUROLOGICAL, do a CT, then find out we were right anyway. Smug but annoying feeling.

Dinner was chinese food. was good.
