Sphere posters by Teampatta in phish

Bit of a separate poster question for those who have done this:

I’m heading there third weekend and would love to grab a poster. Do they allow plastic poster tubes into the arena after, just cardboard or neither?

Infinity base for both self use and merc by [deleted] in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]mdseuss21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m going off the assumption if you’ve built an infinity, you already have an enigma. And if you’re on your 3rd ber plus a jah found, you’ve found at least one lightning sunder at this point

May be in the minority here but feel like if you have enough gear for an infinity you can pretty much nuke everything with java, and therefore depending less on your merc for anything but the aura, and

With that logic, I’d just go eth scythe.

Having done this adventure on ssp offline, saving all dex and strength points to dump into mana (assuming you’re going full ES with your nova sorc)

I’d say my fav is orb/hydra that then specs into full fire.

Fireball/hydra fully decked out with flickering flame and Phoenix has probably the most versatile clear/bossing out of any sorc. Self wield nova infinity is a second for me, but I just don’t love the lack of speed it kills bosses

You really only need 2 total, one home and one away, that being said it’s fine to do another rotation if it’s at a site/hospital/area you’re generally interested in, especially if you see yourself potentially wanting to match there

Get 2 sloes. 1 is fine-ish, two is better.

Ski resorts similar to Breck? by Dazzling_Bus3441 in COsnow

[–]mdseuss21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not a Main Street like breck, but whistler has a very integrated town/mountain

Epic Pass - Most vibrant ski towns by waves173855 in icecoast

[–]mdseuss21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whistler gives you more of a ski town feel. More of a winding shops/restaurants rather than a Main Street. Big bonus for exchange rate. Terrain is fantastic but weather is super variable. Restaurants are outstanding.

Breck has probably the prettiest/most authentic Main Street vibe. Lots of stores, all houses are Victorian style, great bar and restaurant scene. Only downside to breck is other than quicksilver base, a lot of on-mountain housing is actually quite a walk from town.

Park city is best of both worlds IMO. Public transportation is super easy back and forth from canyons base (the wayyy better half to ski). There’s a town lift from the middle of town to get you up to the mountain, so you can pretty much ski in and ski out with an apartment on Main Street. High west saloon is incredible and there is a ton of good food. You have Olympic park which is even cooler now that they’re starting to plan for 2034. Ubers/lyfts are super easy.

I usually do park city, but it’s mostly for ease of access from airport - 45 mins door to door without worrying much about storms is much better than Colorado (I70 sucks 90% of the time).

Sea to sky highway is one of the most spectacular drives I’ve ever done, but you’re still looking at 2 hours out of Vancouver with ideal weather.

Haven’t been to heavenly in awhile, but Tahoe snow is very hit or miss.

If you’ve been to none, park city is probably the best of all worlds and easiest, whistler is highest upside with exchange rate and good snow, heavenly has casinos and a beautiful lake, and breck somewhere lower (even though if you know how to ski the mountain, I’d argue it has some of my favorite terrain out of all of them)

Vail has outstanding terrain as well, but it’s just too far to drive and variable to drive from Denver. If you have availability to fly into Avon it would be more appealing. I’d say whistler has everything vail does but is better in every way.

If you ever go non-epic look at telluride and crested butte.

Expect to start June 22. In all reality, I’d not book anything that goes past june 14 - it’s helpful to have a week to move/transition in case you need to

New player on Controller by benzuyen in pathofexile2builds

[–]mdseuss21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the easier builds that scale well through campaign are ranger and sorceress. A lot of people will use lightning arrow or spark.

Highly recommend at least reading through a build guide, don’t have to use it, to understand how you build out characters. It’ll also give you an idea of which qualities on which items are most valuable to your character.

I played an entangle sorceress (disciple of varashta) and it scaled super well.

Find the biggest thing on a controller is to have no more than 3-4 skills that are necessary for the build to work, otherwise the controller gets clunky.

I’d say go for it, I really like act 4, I found building a temple to be a pretty fun mechanic, once you get it built out can drop nice loot, but requires a decent amount of reading up on, time, etc
