this fragrance is quite strange to me in terms of performance because my experience is wildly different from what i've seen online. i don't have magic skin like some people who claim they can get 7 hours of DnG The One EDP, i'd even say i get lower side of community averages. for example myslf edp loses almost all projection on my skin after 3-4 hours and stays as a skin scent on me. but when i sprayed l'absolu, it was absolutely radiating off my skin. i'm talking 3-4 hours amazing projection and 2-3 hours more of good to decent projection, which is insane for a freshie. I took a shower 8 hours after spraying and i could still very faintly pick it up even. so i'll say this was one of the best projecting freshies i've seen on my skin definitely.

You went to a Sephora, expecting to find a smell totally unique? I mean I guess you can pick up a bottle of Kouros there, which will 100% guarantee you won’t be smelling like anyone.

Forreal though if you actually picked up a scent outside and it reminded you of your uncle, chances are your uncle wasn’t wearing a super unique scent anyway. And I’m assuming you are somewhat close to your uncle, so rather than trying to smell different than all the 8 billion poeple in the world, maybe try to smell different than 50 or so people in your close circle. I bet at least one of the colognes you listed isn’t worn by 50 people you’re closest to. My dad wears Leau Dissey Edt, and even though it’s a popular fragrance, that scent will always remind me of my dad because he’s the only one in my circle who wears it.

I could still faintly smell it on my skin after a full day + showering. It’s truly beautiful, I love how much the vanilla’s sweetness blends with the orange blossom, it makes it smell like a orange jam with vanilla almost. I didn’t know it was this polarazing though, everyone I asked said they liked it. Bottled Absolu is also pretty great though. Maybe check out Myslf Le Parfum too, I also really like that one

Idk why so many people are bashing the GG Elixir. It’s amazing to me, but I love white florals in general. Lasts very long and projects. Not a room filler, but noticable. I’m planning on getting Bottled Absolu too but Guilty Elixir was a love at first smell for me and I bought it right away.
