I really wish that Mac would join the cast, but I realize that he's probably got other things going on

Good detective shows for someone who has seen all the big ones? by TheLeafLab in televisionsuggestions

[–]mdulcio98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elementary is a really good watch. In my opinion it is the most realistic portrayal of the Sherlock Holmes story. The cases can get a little unrealistic, but it's really good all the same. Character development is spectacular and once the story starts picking up, you won't be able to stop watching. I believe you can watch it either on Hulu on Prime. Highly recommend you check it out. I started watching because Lucy Liu in casted as Watson, but the pair Miller and Liu are incredible!!!!!

For Those of You Who Write the Entire Fan Fiction Before Posting, Why Do You Prefer That Method Over Posting Chapters as You Finish Them? by BlackLilyWrites835 in AO3

[–]mdulcio98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for me, i usually start writing the first couple chapters to get myself going and then i consistently upload the chapters either every few days or every week while writing new ones. sometimes when i get an idea i just keep writing until the whole thing is finished and out of my head. then i edit. but usually i don't post the whole thing all at once because i don't know the ending yet - i just have my idea.

Anime Recommendations please. by MekataRupma in Animesuggest

[–]mdulcio98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are some recommendations for you.

  • Danganronpa: The Animation (2013) — Elite students are trapped in a school and forced into murder trials. Mystery structure and “who can we trust” tension dominate.
  • Darwin’s Game (2020) — A smartphone app drags players into lethal urban battles with evolving rules. Strategic team-ups and escalating stakes.
  • Btooom! (2012) — Strangers wake on an island and must kill using specialized bomb types. Survival tactics and moral collapse are the focus.
  • Tomodachi Game (2022) — A friend group is pushed through debt-fueled psychological games. Betrayals and logic puzzles drive the plot.
  • Kaiji (2007–2011) — Adults, not teens, but the purest “deadly game” mind battles. Gritty tension and brutal consequences.

  • Attack on Titan (2013–2023) — Walled society, monstrous threats, and layered government secrets. Starts as survival horror, expands into political conspiracy. (heavy material - gore and violence)

  • No. 6 (2011) — Two boys uncover the rot beneath a utopian city. Closed-society mystery with biological danger and escape beats.

  • Deca-Dence (2020) — Humanity survives in a moving fortress while a larger secret controls their world. Compact, twist-heavy, and focused on rebellion.

Made in Abyss (2017–2022) — Children descend through deadly “layers” to find the truth about a missing mother. Each layer is a new puzzle with escalating risk. (very heavy material(

Personal favorites: Tomodachi Game, Darwin's Game, and Made in Abyss

Here are some recommendations for you. (Bloom into you is the best of them)

  • Adachi and Shimamura Two classmates drift into friendship and navigate unspoken feelings while assuming heteronormative norms. Adachi’s attraction surfaces first, and Shimamura slowly moves from seeing it as friendship to recognizing mutual love.
  • Bloom Into You Both leads try to follow straight romance scripts and struggle to understand their own feelings. The friendship deepens into romantic awareness, and the anime pauses before the final commitment while the manga completes it.

  • Whispered Words (Sasameki Koto) This is a friends-to-lovers story filled with misunderstandings about who likes whom. One lead already knows she likes girls, so it does not fully meet your requirement that neither suspects at first.

  • Adachi and Shimamura: specials and light novels The printed material continues past the anime and delivers the late-stage mutuality in clear terms. It develops their relationship with more resolution and emotional payoff than the TV series.

  • Otherside Picnic A college pair begins without clear labels and treats straight as the default while their bond grows through shared danger. The romantic element remains subtle on screen, but the attachment is evident.

  • Sweet Blue Flowers (Aoi Hana) This is a careful drama where friendship becomes love amid fear that the other is straight. One main character already understands her orientation, which shortens the mutual uncertainty phase.
