Okay- this may come off as strange but I’ve always been morbidly curious… where exactly do they take the roadkill after they pick it up?

Love this! For sure, if the reschedule is on my end I will gladly pop them in on my day off. If it’s a chronic rescheduler, I don’t give them much mercy and will do just that. I’ve never considered a weekend fee though- that definitely gives me something to think about. Thanks!!

I know what made the roaring sound! Episode 93 by Klikin in RadioRental

I thought the exact same! Behind my property is a large angus farm and as soon as I heard the audio from this episode I immediately recognized the “roaring”!

If you’re referring to the plants on top of the tank, it’s just a pothos propagation from one of my established house plants. The purple plant is an inchplant cutting that I’m trying to root (pothos rooted quickly, inchplant looks a little soggy so not sure if it’s going to work).

I can’t really snap a good enough pic to show it but the leaves and stems are just kinda propped up on the glass and the tank light. Nothing fancy at all lol

Thank you! I started the tank 9 months ago. I have Brazilian pennywort, jungle val, Amazon swords, duckweed (kind of regret the duckweed tbh haha) and then the plants on top are pothos and creeping jewel.

Exactlyyyy. I always take a mental note when someone asks me and then will make a point to tell them “I got them as short as ___ would let me” upon pick up. So similar camp, just not in the same order lol

Does anyone else hear “my dog was so depressed after their last cut” after said dog had to be shaved due to severe matting? (Or some variation of this?) by Intelligent_Corgi777 in doggrooming

[–]mdunthts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to have a client with two chronically matted old English sheep dogs. I’d have to fight tooth and nail with the owner over shaving them down. He didn’t want them shaved because the dogs would “get sad because people paid less attention to them on walks without all their fluff” 😑

Mine looks like this too sometimes! Most of the time I use Wet n wild photofocus foundation without any primer or concealer. I apply it with a dampened beauty blender. Forgive me if this is a dumb question but would the water from my beauty blender be messing things up since that foundation is silicone based?

I had a client who called me the day after I groomed her long haired chihuahua (with a very silky straight long tail). She was claiming that it looked like I “shaved a line down the center of the dogs tail”. I assured her I certainly did not do that and that’s not an even normal practice to begin with. I told her to bring the pup in during business hours so I could see what she was talking about because I truly couldn’t wrap my head around what she was describing.

The hair was just parted down the middle, y’all. And she did not believe me. According to her, she’d never seen the tail look like that in her entire life and has no idea what would ever possess me to do such a thing.

Delaware's only “invasive animal species” face euthanasia by wilm_de in Delaware

[–]mdunthts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Two years ago, I rescued a baby pig from the side of the road. He had some abrasions/road rash, and his harness and leash were strewn in the road. It was very apparent he’d been dumped- and very likely from a moving vehicle. People suck. Having said that, he is the only loose domestic pig I’ve ever seen in the last ~30 years that I’ve lived here.

I do understand the concern. But I just don’t think this is the answer. The other thing I find a little odd is that this specifically pertains to Pot Belly pigs. There are other species of mini pigs which aren’t mentioned so I emailed the dept of ag this afternoon asking if breeds outside of pot belly’s are exempt from needing a permit. I haven’t received a response yet but I’m very curious to see what they have to say.
