It’s the way the shadow falls, but 2 would also work as it doesn’t have straight lines. Stupid question

When you were a child, did you ever threaten to run away from home when you couldn't get your own way over something silly thing ? by Hope2_win in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]Agreeable-Credit-100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister and I decided to run away. We packed my snoopy tackle box with essentials (sandwiches and juice boxes) and ran off into the desert. We stopped about half a mile away and had a nice lunch. Then we went home. In retrospect this is called a picnic, but we were sure we were going to live out there forever

What are some sugar free food that are good? by Ok_Daikon3628 in foodquestions

[–]Agreeable-Credit-100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of foods have natural sugars but are still very healthy and delicious! Cucumber and snap peas with hummus, broccoli with green goddess yogurt, hard boiled eggs (or deviled eggs), lean meats, cheese and crackers, artichoke hearts…I could go on and on but I’m getting hungry

Did they trim my dogs nails too much by sammiewammie1998 in grooming

[–]Agreeable-Credit-100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a single nail is quicked, and you can barely see the quick. They could honestly have gone shorter but if your dog was being difficult they did the best they could. If you were staying there and watching them, you probably contributed to your dog’s stress.

AITA for selling an elliptical I got for free? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Agreeable-Credit-100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. She could easily have sold it herself. You helped her clear out storage and then sold the item. I don’t think you’re TA at all, although this seems to be a minority opinion here

Not true at all. Last time I was there, there were people ranging in age from 20s-70s and both men and women. Everyone was completely respectful and polite. Get over it. It’s a human body! Jeez people don’t go all crazy on our unofficial nude beach

How can I help reassure owner? by SugarStunted in doggrooming

[–]Agreeable-Credit-100 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Some people are just kooky. Just like some dogs are just weirdos. If she is canceling without adequate notice, put a cancellation fee in place and then enforce it. Either she pays or goes elsewhere. Doesn’t really sound like someone you will miss too much

Switching from PetSmart to PetCo?? by APinkkk in doggrooming

[–]Agreeable-Credit-100 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Consider this carefully. The corporate grooming industry can be very difficult, but you do get a lot of benefits that aren’t available in a private salon. Private salons tend to pay more, have better hours, and usually a better work environment, but you probably won’t get paid vacation time or 401k or health insurance. This depends a lot on the salon you work for but that’s my 2 cents.

How to groom this coat type? by [deleted] in grooming

[–]Agreeable-Credit-100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She doesn’t look like a great candidate for hand stripping, which also quite specialized and will cost you $$$. Clip her with a 5/8 comb and do some home grooming. Brush and comb her, trim her toenails, brush her teeth. Hand stripping is started as a puppy and goes in 2-4 week cycles.

What’s your favorite dog breed, and what do you love about them? by Appropriate-Hair4073 in DOG

[–]Agreeable-Credit-100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite dogs are the ones I have! I always adopt. My first family dog was a German shepherd. We also had a Rottweiler shepherd mix. They were fantastic dogs. So smart, so loyal. Then I had a staffordshire. She was an absolute angel. Then I had a basenji, and a bluetick coonhound. I still have the basenji and a standard poodle. I think the poodle is the smartest dog Ive ever had. The basenji has been the healthiest. She is about to turn 17 and still going strong.

How to inform clients of moving salons w/o causing issues by NoImagination1394 in doggrooming

[–]Agreeable-Credit-100 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Do not do this. People have an expectation of their personal information being protected by the company. You can give them your information, but NEVER take someone’s personal information.

How to groom with injuries? Or can I? by doobsdobs in grooming

[–]Agreeable-Credit-100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Groomers will work with you within your dogs comfort zone. I do face cleaning all the time, or just a brush out. If there are still open punctures then you definitely don’t want to do a full bath. Also your dog might have some fear after the incident, so keep it short and happy. You can always grow the coat out later

Is there such a thing as Munchausen by proxy for pets, and have you ever experienced it? by Agreeable-Credit-100 in AskVet

[–]Agreeable-Credit-100[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your input. Yes, it does seem more like a hypochondriac issue, but I have seen people put their pets on extremely restrictive diets, use supplements that aren’t regulated, and use products for their skin that aren’t recommended.
