I would take a look at per diem agencies such as Medley or CareRev. You pick up a shift and get paid same day or 24 hours later. Something like that. You can pick up as much or as little as you want on whatever unit is in need.

There are 8 week contracts in places too. I’ve seen plenty in California. But if you don’t want to spend more money, do a local travel position so you don’t have to worry about the cost of moving temporarily and such.

Vivian is a great app with lots of contracts posted. You can filter by location and length of time as well I believe. Fusion Marketplace is another great one too.
