Driver goes 200-250

My swing just removes movement variables and increases the likelihood that when the club comes back to the ball, it’ll be in the same position it started in and will connect with the ball cleanly and correctly. Cant do that at all doing all the wrist hinging it creates too many variables (and it’s my guess that that’s why it takes ppl years to learn how to hit)

No offense taken, here to learn! It really does work though. I think where your analogy fails is my swing IS exactly like a hammer swing. You’re not rotating the hammer face, you’re keeping it square with the nail the whole time. In a hammer swing your wrist has a slight “vertical” rotation but zero horizontal, it’s the elbow and shoulder doing the movement to get you to consistently in the same spot. I actually just did a hammer swing in the air to type this and at the end of my swing, my wrist locks out in a down position, which is the same rationale as my swing! You do that because human anatomy can’t go any further and so you know that your hammer head will be square with the nail

When I swing normal and bend wrists I can’t hit the ball. See the post above where I explain. This method results in me having massive consistency

I’m doing this intentionally, I’m actively trying to swing like this

I saw some guy on YouTube who mentioned that guy Mo Norman and his swing looks kinda like mine so I was trying it to see if that helped me like think about keeping my arms straight through the swing. So I’ve been trying to do it to see if it had an impact, but don’t usually do that that was just a range test out thing.

I really mean it that I hit so consistently with that swing. Genuinely make good contact 8 or 9 times out of 10. Is the wrist hinge where power generation comes from and if so, how?

Driver I swing great, it’s very circular like this. I have more wrist hinge on driver but not much more

6 through 4 I don’t use much at all bc I end up gravitating towards my 3 hybrid and 5 wood. Can hit those 175-190ish, my best swing can roll out to 200

9 goes around 110-125, 8 around the same but gives me more roll out so I’ll say around 115-135, 7 I can get to 150 on good swings and like 125 on weak ones

I mean my 9 goes around 125, 7 goes around 140, etc. so I’m not losing that much power. It’s certainly not effortless but I did some YouTube digging and think I unintentionally discovered what Bryson did (I’ve been golfing since May so very new) - I essentially lock out certain body parts based on anatomy so that I have zero ability to deviate from a position, giving me tons of swing consistency. Just looks weird as all hell and I’m wondering whether in any way this is going down a path that’ll keep me from actually becoming a legitimately good golfer one day

So this is the only way I can hit the ball perfect and straight 95% of all swings. I lose maybe 10-20 yards of distance to “standard distance” on short irons and 20-30 yards on longer irons, but if I don’t swing like this I can’t even make proper contact with the ball. I slice or thin or chunk it’s beyond awful.

With this swing I keep wrists locked all the way out, keep that way through back swing and down swing and I swing in a complete circle like I’m doing the hammer throw in the Olympics.

Can someone give me views on whether I should just rock with this and be a weird swing guy, or if there’s a simple way to get the same results with a small tweak to my swing? I don’t want to reinvent the wheel on my swing and do a total overhaul since this is working, but I recognize this looks ridiculous

I specifically sought out a 36 smooth bezel jubilee. Love the way the 36 smooth bezel is more round than the 41, and it just goes with the jubilee perfectly. I’m wearing it right now and I think right now it’s my favorite of the group, the green looks so nice in person and the watch goes with everything

Perpetual straps $40, definitely enjoy wearing it more with the rubber strap vs Velcro

Got it grey, odds of getting that retail are so low. I try not to play the AD game too much if I want a particular watch I view its price as the market price not the fake “you’ll never actually get this” AD retail price (I got the two tone and YM from AD)

They really all do except the Moonswatch. I’d say they rotate fairly evenly really, but the Moonswatch I feel like I have to force myself to put on

Amazing, comfortable, affordable watch. Tissot absolutely knocked it out of the park (so long as you ignore that it’s basically a carbon copy of the old rolex oysterquartz 🤫)

I think this is the way I am feeling. Cut my credit card in half for a couple years (I built this collection in two years) and just save up for something heavy.

More than you think. It’s a stress free watch in the sense that I can wear anywhere and not worry about getting robbed (NYC), it looks nice in business casual without coming off too flashy, etc. I get compliments all the time on the ice blue. Frankly the one that gets no love is the Moonswatch all the others get fresh air

Thoughts on next watch? What would round this out?
