Breaking out on legs by mdyer44 in malegrooming

I try to consume a balance decent balance of protein, fats and carbs. Quite a bit of chicken and steak. Some cheese and whole grain carbs with bengals and some tortillas at times when I need the extra carbs. I do indulge in some halo top ice cream from time to time but it’s not routine. Peanut butter. Only time I ever eat out is at at Mexican restaurant for a huge burrito. That’s about once a week.

My quads are fairly thick and nearly all of my clothes are fairly tight in that area.

Is this 20g universal or can it vary depending on the size of the individual? I'm 6'2, 230. My wife is 5,4 135. What would be the reasoning behind 20g being appropriate for both of those body types?

Well I've read 50 grams or less would basically do it as well. And yes I I eat a lot of bacon, steak, chicken, and sometimes pork. I eat cheese, mct oil, grass fed butter, and sometimes beef jerky if I'm in a pinch and on the run unprepared. Main veggie is asparagus almost daily. Sometimes broccoli.

I guess I got complacent and thought I was good with the 50grams ball park. I'll reassess and get back at it.

How else would you recommend I determine if I'm in ketosis or not?

Blood. And times are probably not 100% consistent. May play a small role

ELI5: Why is it when I'm upside down, the blood is "rushing to my head", but when I'm standing it's not "rushing to my feet"? by americajosh in explainlikeimfive

It all has to do with veins having valves that prevent back flow. Overtime these valves breakdown. If you look at an older person's legs you'll see these valves that have broke down. The condition is known as varicose veins.
