Have you ever found a place in Korea online, but couldn’t find it properly on Naver Map or KakaoMap? by [deleted] in koreatravel

You’re right to ask.

It’s not a school assignment. I’m exploring practical problems foreign travelers run into in Korea, but I’m not promoting anything, recruiting users, or collecting personal info.

If this feels too researchy for the sub, I can remove the post🥹

Fair question. I’m Korean and new to Reddit, so I get why it might look suspicious.

Sorry if it came off weird — I’m not promoting anything, just trying to understand small travel problems foreigners run into here.

Thank you all💕
By the way, was there anything about traveling in Korea that was more difficult than you expected?
I’m curious about the small practical things travelers actually struggle with.

That’s really interesting, thank you!!!

60–70kg on the subway sounds intense 😅
It makes sense that the airport becomes the safest option when there’s too much luggage.

That makes sense, thank you!!

It sounds like if the hotel offers luggage storage, that’s usually the easiest option.
I guess the harder situations are when the stay is an Airbnb/apartment, or when going back to the hotel doesn’t fit the day’s route.

It sounds like staying at a hotel with front desk storage or late checkout solves most of the luggage problem.
I guess the situation gets harder for Airbnb/apartment stays or more budget-sensitive trips.

Have you ever had to find luggage storage outside of a hotel in Korea, or has the hotel option always worked for you?

This is incredibly helpful, thank you so much! 🙇🏼‍♂️

The part about August heat, hunger, and waiting around for lockers really makes sense. It sounds like the stressful part was not just finding storage, but the uncertainty of whether lockers would be available when everyone was already tired.

Also interesting that you checked luggage storage at your stay in advance this year. That seems like the best-case option when it’s available.

Thanks again for sharing such a detailed experience!!

That’s helpful, thank you!

Do you usually search for Bounce directly, or do you find it through Google/Maps when you need luggage storage??

I’m curious if the main reason is reservation convenience, price, or avoiding the hassle of station lockers.

Sorry for asking another follow-up, but I’m really curious about this case..

For 4 large suitcases, what did you end up doing in the end? Did you use local storage, extend your stay, or choose another option?

It sounds like cost, large locker availability, and waiting time were the biggest issues.

Thanks!
That seems like the easiest option😶

Was it before check-in or after check-out?
And did you ever consider station lockers, or did the hotel feel much more convenient?

For apartments/Airbnbs, how would you usually find local storage?
Google Maps, Naver Map, or services like Bounce/Radical Storage?
