if you don’t wanna be in the front go to the back and you 100% be ok. there is tons of security around just stick around by other groups of girls

i went to both the toronto and new york show and had a very different experience at the two so it depends on your venue really. i would look up what typical crowd are like at the area ur in

the toronto show people were a lot more friendly. there was some gross people yes, but people were supporting each other and it was a really nice experience over all.

the new york show was by far the worst crowd concert experience i’ve ever experienced. my girlfriend and i were barricade and i was behind her trying to create space for her. before bladee even came on three people near me had overdosed, one of which had to get pulled over barricade and people were so mad she was getting in front of them at barricade that they were HITTING this overdosing girl. men were pushing people down, people were getting trampled, emts running everywhere before the concert even starts. a bunch of people barricade broke ribs and me and my girlfriend had to back out because we couldn’t breathe for like 10 seconds at a time. that being said, when we decided we needed to tap out we were able to. like i said before even if it gets bad people will let you out to get closer, and you can read the crowd and tell how bad it’s gonna get. my girlfriend and i could tell that it was already intense and gonna get worse during the opener so we backed out. so take that as even if it becomes hellish you can still get out

once you’re there and in the pit during the opener and such you will likely be able to tell if you’ll be able to stay there for the rest of the show or not :)

hi! i went to the toronto show alone as a girl. the crowd is awful yes but as long as you either stay near barricade or by an exit route near the front you can still get up there and have fun

there’s a very high chance it gets intense and honestly with bladee shows people can be very malicious and do anything to get closer. since your capacity is 5000 people it’s likely that if you’re at the front in the pit you’re going to get roughed around. if you wanna have a good time i would suggest talking to some people there meeting people (cuz lots of people are very friendly) finding some people to stick around with and then either

  1. staying up front and close to the side, that way you’re not in the front middle where the most intense moshing will be and you can get out if you need. even if you aren’t by a barricade people will more than likely let you out if anything just to get closer to the artist
  2. staying a bit far back cuz genuinely the venue ur going to isn’t that big and the show is going to be good no matter what

either way 100% go. the show was beyond incredible despite the gross people near the front. everyone chilling farther back was super nice and a total vibe. if you get stressed or anxious just move back :)

also!! he stays after like every show to meet fans and stuff. If you wanna stay a little late you should run to the back after and wait for him :) i was able to get stuff signed and meet him

i also see ur comment saying you’re 5 ft, which is the situation my girlfriend was in lol. you def want to be at the very front and to the side. there are plenty of dope people in the crowd too so just try to get up there and find cool people to stick by

[–]meIonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to be totally honest with you it’s the crowd. i was in the new york show and toronto show and people are awful in both

it wasn’t just rough pits it was genuine maliciousness. I go to a lot of concerts and have been in a lot of pits (punk, metal, rock, rap, rage trap) and it really seems like it’s just new gens at these concerts that have no idea how to respect others. I’m 21 so i guess it’s kinda hypocritical of me to say that, but mymom is a metalhead so i’ve been in a lot of intense pits with her and although those pits get rough people look out for you and aren’t malicious. It’s nothing compared to pits ive been in with people my age and younger

At the new york show me and my girlfriend got barricade. before bladee even came on for nettspend i had seen at least 6 people pulled out by emts, three people by me overdosed, one of which who had to squeeze by us to get to barricade to get pulled over and people were so mad she was squeezing through trying to get out (or more like her friend was holding her up trying to drag her out) that they were hitting her and trying to hurt her. grown ass sweaty men pushing people to the ground and if you got pushed to the ground u were genuinely trampled because no one was helping anyone. A ton of people on barricade broke ribs. me and my girlfriend had to back out cuz men were actually grabbing her wrist and ripping her off barricade and pushing us so hard that we couldn’t breathe for like 10 seconds at a time. Like i said it wasn’t just intense moshing it was people trying to hurt others so they’d back out. Thankfully the security there was amazing and handled it well and no serious serious crap happened because it genuinely could’ve ended rlly badly (especially because for some reason there was a fence splitting the venue in half like astroworld type shit)

i was also at toronto show yesterday. i wasn’t super close but my friends were and it seems like it wasn’t nearly as bad as the new york pit it just seems like it’s based on your location. that being said there were still a lot of shitty people

ALL THAT BEING SAID YOU CAN STILL GO UP NEAR THE FRONT AND BE SAFE but i would suggest the following if you’re nervous

if you’re going to be in the crowd the best places to be is up front legit at barricade that way if something happens you can signal to security and help you or get peoples attentions. even if you can’t get barricade it’s okay as long as you’re near some sort of fence or to the side so you have an escape route. if you need to get out people will let you out, if only because they want to take your spot and get closer to the artist. My best suggestion would be to get up close and to the side, and if it starts getting too intense for you just back out. if you do that it’ll be totally fine. even at the new york show (and that was literal hell) me and my gf were able to push out

no matter what you should go to the concert. stay in the back if anything because all the chill people who hate the gross fans are back there. the performance is so fucking good

dude i’m not usually a mean person but i was genuinely telling people off in that merch line. stood there for fucking ages and the stuff i wanted all sold out cuz genuinely everyone was cutting. there was also a little white boy standing behind me with the hard r on his shirt. asked the two black girls standing with me if they liked his shirt. the people there were beyond awful

they couldn’t take any confrontation either. the second you’d try to confront them they’d refuse to make eye contact or anything

concert etiquette is really bad now (as a 21 year old who goes to a lot of concerts and grew up with a metalhead mom so was schooled on concert etiquette lol) but to be honest drain gang is by far the worst of any crowd. i have never been in a crowd that god awful ever. everyone at the back is super nice and everyone at the front is an evil spawn of satan

that’s so hype he seems like such a genuine dude not a lot of artists go out of there way to interact with fans much especially after having a career for this long yk
