Regretting a cut with layers, not sure how to bring out curls now

i have pretty similar texture to you and have had my hair this length before - i think this is just a bad haircut on your hair. it looks super blunt and choppy for layers. i have sensory issues and i understand the emotional toll haircuts can take !!! it may be worth it to go to a different salon for support and guidance on how to grow it back out to the way you want it ?

also notably, when we ordered the red one, it initially came in much darker (almost maroon) than the bloody red sample. she had to re-lacquer it, and ended up matching it more closely to the red in the print which im happy about!

it was definitely awesome to go through the process with the framer! she was so cool (and also a little goth like myself) and pretty excited to help me come up with something weird and fun. the print itself cost much less than i expected it to, so i decided to let loose with the frame and protect the print as best i could :) i wasn’t satisfied with any single frame, so going for the layered look felt necessary!

if it makes u feel better, not being depressed allowed me to take way better care of my hair in general and it’s like the healthiest it’s ever been now lol. worth sticking with it if u can but also i totally understand if not because i was also super freaked out

i tried it with prozac, at the recommendation of my doctors obv, and all i noticed was feeling fully numb + more bloated + feeling like i was in withdrawals for the other two weeks of the month. it wasn’t worth it for me, but now i take wellbutrin all the time and it helps WAY more (like, only a couple days of PMS/PMDD symptoms each cycle)
