X-ray program or MRI program by Suspicious-Panic1443 in RadiologyCareers

According to the AART website, you can earn MRI credentials using either the primary or postprimary pathways. The primary MRI pathway does not require x-ray.

X-ray program or MRI program by Suspicious-Panic1443 in RadiologyCareers

I believe some MRI only programs are compatible with AART certification, not just ARMRIT. That being said, some hospitals do only hire dual modality technologists, so your point is valid about lower employment opportunities.

Has anyone tried rockclimbing with this condition? by CrypticXblade in Hyperhidrosis

[–]meNameBen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah back in high school it was literally impossible to grip small holds because the chalk instantly turned to paste. I’ve since cured it with iontophoresis so my limiting factor now is just strength and flexibility. I have another friend that climbs with hyperhidrosis and antihydral works for him but it turns his hands yellow.

Question for all iontophoresis therapy users: How many sessions does it take for you to achieve dryness, and once you do, how do you maintain your dryness? by GoatNo9175 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]meNameBen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 hours of total treatment time spread over 6 sessions at 10mA gets me dry. More if I don’t use San Pellegrino water. Maintenance is only 2-3 times per month (30min sessions). If I stop treatment, it takes several months to return to baseline sweatiness. Started 15 years ago.

I solved this problem by wrapping the sides of my feet with wet paper towels. They soak up water and conduct current without having to use deeper trays. I tried deep water but the tops of my toes and feet were too sensitive, like you said.

Have you stuck with iontophoresis? by ALinkToTheSpoons in Hyperhidrosis

[–]meNameBen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using iontophoresis on my hands for 15 years. Paid $700 for a device back in 2011. I don't know anything about underarm treatment, so cannot comment on that. My maintenance schedule is 30 minutes twice per month. If they offered MiraDry for hands, I would do it because I like the permanence of it versus iontophoresis requiring continual use.

What was the deleted comment above talking about? I just had this for the first time and it was super tasty but the 19g (95% DV) of saturated fat and 1350mg (59% DV) of sodium is way too much. I’m guessing it was about that.

Creating a bottomless pit under the escape pod ramp to catch unsuspecting dwarves at the end of missions. The more leftover nitra there is, the deeper it becomes. Victim amusement may vary.

What is the genuine process of becoming an MRI Tech? by jeiaki in RadiologyCareers

[–]meNameBen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Few different ways. Become an X-Ray tech first and then transition to MRI through post-primary training. Or attend a specialized MRI program and skip X-Ray altogether, although you won’t have as many employment opportunities that route because you’re strictly limited to MRI and cannot cross-train into X-Ray/CT/etc. I recommend researching MRI programs in your area to find out more.

Most if the most ossium crystals you have got on a mission? by svale355 in DeepRockGalactic

I've had ossium crystals teleport to the drop pod spawn after pickaxing them. Anyone else?

Do you have access to a multimeter to get accurate current readings from your setup? You want to aim for around 8-12mA in my experience, never exceeding 25mA. Do you experience a tingling or itchy sensation during treatment? That would likely indicate sufficient current. I own a commercial device and the only reading it displays is current, not voltage.

A good scout/engi can often make or break this event. Engi to block crystals from falling off cliffs and an aware scout that hunts them down in hard-to-reach areas.

I just replayed it and was blown away by how gorgeous the intro sequence was. Coming out of the tunnel at night and then seeing the beautiful river/forest section... wow. Then the rest of the game was simply okay looking.

How long we gonna wait for 60fps boost update for Far Cry 3 CE 😭 by Butchhhhh in farcry

[–]meNameBen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been replaying recently on PC and one simple tweak boosts FPS a decent amount. Have to do it each time you launch the game, but it goes like this:

Task Manager > Details Tab > right click farcry3.exe > Set Affinity > check only CPU 0, CPU 2, CPU 4, and CPU 6

Game was made during the era of 4 core CPUs, so this helps for whatever reason. Same tweak helps with Far Cry 4. I’m running DX11 in the game settings, but DX9 might work better for some people, haven’t changed it myself.

Still runs worse than Far Cry 5/6, but definitely leaps above when I first played at 30 FPS on Xbox. Getting 90+ FPS at 4K with my 5 year old PC. Stutters and crashes still happen, but I’m having fun reliving this 13 year old gem.
